Following his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, President Donald Trump was seen heading directly to the golf course. His motorcade was photographed escorting him to Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.

The high-stakes summit between Trump and Putin took place in Alaska on Friday, focusing on ending the war in Ukraine. However, no ceasefire agreement was reached. Trump is scheduled to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who will bring six European leaders with him, on Monday, but he chose to spend Saturday golfing.

It’s reported that Trump has spent 20 percent of his second term playing golf, squeezing in rounds whenever his busy schedule allows. Vice President JD Vance has also been hitting the links recently, though he experienced some embarrassment at Trump’s Turnberry course in Scotland.

There was hope that Friday’s summit would be a pivotal moment in efforts to end the Ukraine war, but the talks did not result in a ceasefire. Trump stated that the discussions were productive, but a unanimous agreement with Putin was not achieved.

Putin has extended an invitation to Trump to visit Moscow, keen to host the U.S. President after his trip to Alaska. “

Oh, that’s an interesting one,” responded Trump. “I don’t know. I’ll get a little heat on that one. But I can see it possibly happening.”

Prior to his upcoming meeting with Zelensky, Trump urged the Ukrainian President to reach an agreement with Putin. Despite contrary claims, Trump insists that Putin is eager to end the war.

“Now it’s really up to President Zelensky to get it done,” Trump declared on FOX News. “And I would also say the European nations, they have to get involved a little bit.

“But it’s up to President Zelensky. I think we are, and if they like, I’ll be at that next meeting. It’s not a done deal at all. And Ukraine has to agree. President Zelensky has to agree.

“I think we’re pretty close to a deal. Look, Ukraine has to agree to it. Maybe they’ll say no.”

In addition to Trump’s efforts, First Lady Melania Trump also played a role in the negotiations by penning a letter to Putin, advocating for the safety of millions of children at risk. The letter was personally delivered to Putin in Alaska, with FOX News reportedly obtaining a copy.

“We must strive to paint a dignity-filled world for all – so that every soul may wake to peace, and so that the future itself is perfectly guarded,” the letter read. “A simple yet profound concept, Mr. Putin, as I am sure you agree, is that each generation’s descendants begin their lives with a purity – an innocence which stands above geography, government, and ideology.”

Melania Trump’s letter was well received by Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, who expressed his gratitude on social media. “The return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia should be a key condition for any peace agreement,” he posted.

Following intense talks with Putin on Friday and a crucial agreement with Zelensky on Monday, Trump chose to relax at his Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia. The former president is anticipated to meet with several European leaders at the Oval Office on Monday.
