Adam Sandler reflects on working with family in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

The stars of “Happy Gilmore 2” hit the green carpet in New York to celebrate the film’s upcoming release, in which Adam Sandler returns to the golf course as Happy Gilmore nearly 30 years after the original film.

Can Robert MacIntyre hold off the best player in the world? That’s the biggest question as the final round of the BMW Championship begins Sunday, Aug. 17.

MacIntyre sits atop the leaderboard at 16 under, leading second-place Scottie Scheffler by four strokes at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland. They’ll tee off at 1:40 p.m. ET.

Before then, though, there will be plenty of intrigue as players battle to secure a top 30 spot in the FedEx Cup standings and earn a place at the season-ending Tour Championship.

USA TODAY Sports will have updates on the PGA Tour’s second FedEx Cup Playoffs event throughout the day. Follow along:

Sunday, Aug. 17

Daniel Berger withdrew from the 2025 BMW Championship on Sunday morning before his final-round tee time.

Berger, 32, cited an injury to his finger as the reason that he wouldn’t be able to play the last 18 holes of the second leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs.

Berger played the first 54 holes in 2-over 212 after a 72 on Saturday.

Berger entered the week at No. 33 in the season-long FedEx Cup points race and needed a good week to jump into the top 30 and advance to East Lake in Atlanta for the Tour Championship.
