The wonderful Jack Buchanan, President of Hindhead Golf Club, a friend of Peter Alliss #Hindhead
So, I think we all feel like we know Peter just from from listening to him on the commentary of TV, but what was he like as a man kind of behind the cameras? I thought he was a good friend of mine, I really do miss him. Uh he was he he was a phenomenal person. One of the things about one of the most interesting things I found about Peter was that no matter where he went, no matter who he came across, no matter who he met, and no matter what the circumstances, his first words were always the most appropriate words you could think of, you know. Yeah. Had a gift, didn’t he? The way It described things and the way I just he drew you into golf. I mean all my early golf watching memories there is one soundtrack and that is Peter Ros’s voice. It was just magic.
