It's all centered around finding your appropriate combination of volume, intensity and frequency. Of course, that will change over time and with experience. It's the same as it ever was, the human body's the same as it was ages ago, well, not counting the chemists' entry into things. Enjoy your lifting!

For me, correct. I do everything twice a week at minimum. Natural. Almost 39. 10 months of gyming. Sometimes twice a day and 2 days in a row. It’s working but I know I’ll change it when the time comes.
When you get looks from people and people stop to say looking great, it’s working.

Yeah the bro split isn’t optimal if you have a shit ton of gear in your system. Most people are natty and actually need the extra time to recover.
Gear: each muscle twice a week.
Natty: bro split.
Pretty simple.
72 hours. Chest and triceps on Monday and Thursday for example. Back and biceps on Tuesday and Friday for example. That takes care of the once a week thing while allowing time to properly recover compatible body parts so you can beat them up again.
