Really want to install a sim in my one car garage but worried about the water heater. The depth is 18’ to the metal bollard pole in front of the water heater. Garage is almost 13’ wide.

I would pay someone to lift the garage door and do a side mount motor. Any input/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Are you worried about the sim fitting or ball hitting the heater.

assuming you have enough length left on the torsion bar on the garage door, putting in a side mount is pretty easy, seriously, you can do it. Id not screw with the hot water heater, keep in there and put the setup in front of it. get a square golf launch monitor or a skytrak and you don’t need a ton of space. I think a radar one would be pushing the limits of what you have to work with.
