The FedEx Cup is the PGA Tour’s most lucrative event, with crazy bonuses being on offer as well as huge prize money for the year’s most consistent and standout performers, as well as Playoff event winners.

Since 2007, it’s been the financial season finale that all of the circuits’ leading stars battle to win.

In 2025, there is a $100 million bonus pool for PGA stars with payouts split up, rewarding regular season standings and postseason finishes.

The postseason-ending Tour Championship will see the event winner take home a staggering $10 million bonus.

The prize money is massive – but which top 20 players have the most FedEx Cup bonuses of all-time?
1. Rory McIlroy – $62,052,000

Best FedEx Playoff event wins: 6
Highest OWGR ranking: 1

Rory McIlroy has been a prolific member of the PGA Tour with his 29 event wins, helping him dominate the regular season beyond, completing a career grand slam of Majors on the way.

He’s earned big bonuses from his regular-season excellence. Still, with six FedEx Cup postseason event wins, including three Tour Championships, it’s no surprise the Northern Irishman has won the largest chunks of FedEx bonuses.

2. Scottie Scheffler – $43,717,000

Best FedEx Playoff event wins: 1
Highest OWGR ranking: 1

Scottie Scheffler’s recent dominance at world number one for over 150 weeks has seen him also dominate the regular season, picking up the $8 million FedEx bonus in 2025 for his two Majors and a total of four PGA Tour crowns.

Scheffler’s dominance will make his one Playoff event win seem surprising to some, but you wouldn’t write him off taking home a big wedge of the Tour Championship available bonuses.

3. Justin Thomas – $29,940,000

Best FedEx Playoff event wins: 2
Highest OWGR ranking: 1

The former number one hasn’t won a Playoff event since the BMW Championship in 2019, but Thomas prides himself on his consistency, and that’s brought in regular FedEx bonuses through the years.

His 11 regular-season wins between 2017 and 2020 ensured Thomas took home sizeable bonuses for his maintained success on the circuit.

4. Xander Schauffele – $29,283,000

Best FedEx Playoff event wins: 1
Highest OWGR ranking: 2

Schauffele has been a professional for a decade now, yet it’s still impossible to forget his legendary Tour Championship win in 2017, where he held off Justin Thomas by a single stroke.

The 31-year-old has since added nine PGA Tour titles, which most recently include two Major championships as he’s claimed big money in the end-of-season FedEx standings.

5. Tiger Woods – $28,594,000

Best FedEx Playoff event wins: 4
Highest OWGR ranking: 1

The FedEx Playoffs were only introduced in 2007, well into Tiger Woods’ prime. However, the GOAT still managed to leave his mark, picking up four Playoff wins and the first-ever Tour Championship.

Woods was prolific, but he had 51 PGA Tour event wins before 2007 that didn’t qualify for FedEx Cup points and, crucially, any bonuses.

6. Dustin Johnson – $27,057,000

Best FedEx Playoff event wins: 6
Highest OWGR ranking: 1

Johnson was utterly dominant on the PGA Tour five years ago, in a period where he ruled at world number one and claimed the majority of his 24 PGA Tour wins.

He’s also equal with Rory McIlroy with the most FedEx Playoff wins, having triumphed on six different occasions, including three Northern Trust titles and the 2020 Tour Championship.

7. Viktor Hovland – $22,413,000

Best FedEx Playoff event wins: 2
Highest OWGR ranking: 3

Hovland’s 2023 season was one to remember as he picked up a regular-season win at the Memorial Tournament before catching fire in the Playoffs.

The Norwegian won the BMW Championship to pick up a big FedEx bonus before backing it up with a maiden Tour Championship win, massive bonus cheque and the biggest title of his career.

8. Patrick Cantlay – $17,577,000

Best FedEx Playoff event wins: 3
Highest OWGR ranking: 3

Cantlay is another player who made use of the now-ditched staggered start system at the Tour Championship in 2021, winning the title after putting the groundworks in place at his BMW Championship win the week before.

He won the BMW Championship again in 2022, but couldn’t back up his most recent PGA Tour win with a historic back-to-back double.

9. Jordan Spieth – $17,153,000

Best FedEx Playoff event wins: 1
Highest OWGR ranking: 1

Has there been a greater season than Spieth’s legendary 2015 campaign? The Texan won two of the four Majors, coming runner-up and T4 in the others, before backing up a legendary regular season with a lucrative Tour Championship title.

Spieth took home $22.5 million in 2015, including the $10 million bonus for the postseason-defining event.

10. Justin Rose – $15,645,000

Best FedEx Playoff event wins: 2
Highest OWGR ranking: 1

Justin Rose became the oldest FedEx Cup Playoff event winner with his FedEx St. Jude Championship win in 2025 at the age of 45.

It came 14 years after he won his first Playoff event at the BMW Championship in 2011, supplementing his FedEx bonuses of over $15 million through his enduring career.
