Armthorp had a more comfortable afternoon and were 4-0il up against Croll Colts after an hour with two goals for Michael Dunn, one for Bailey Lowe and a Jordan Welsh own goal. Croll scored a late consolation through Kieran Atkin. Club Thorn Collery won 1-0il in stoppage time against Winterton Rangers with Harry Douglas scoring the winner and Ilkley Town secured a dramatic 4-3 win at Glass and Welfare with a last second goal by Matthew Swift. Latown and leads UFCA shared a 2-2 draw with the host coming back from two-0 down to claim a point. Where’s the Bridge Athletic were 2-1 winners at nostal miners welfare with Jake Squires and Connor Glavin scoring in the second half. Doncaster City won 2-1 at real one Rovers with Kieran Mortimer and Mason Barlow giving them a two-nil lead before the prolific Zack Khn reduced the Aras. Athersdale Recreation recovered from going a goal down after just four minutes against Selby Town. That was a Harry Clappam scoring from the penalty spot with Keenan Davis Mosley and James Woodhouse replying for the home side to clinch a 2-1 win. Onto this coming weekend, we have eight teams in FA Cup preliminary round action. We’d like to wish good luck to Bontown, Bossesford Town, Campion, Park Gate, Pickering Town, Rosington Main, Sheffield, and Wwell Town. and were guaranteed to have at least one team in the next round as Wwell Town face Parkgate at the recreation ground. In the league, there were two games on Friday in division one with matches at Wakefield and WB Bridge with a further 12 league fixtures on Saturday. Whichever game you’re planning to watch, please have a great time. [Music] In the FA Cup extra preliminary round, there were seven NCL team winners out of 17 who took part. So that’s a success rate of 41%. So the seven seven teams into the preliminary round and the fixtures in that round. On the Friday the 15th of August, Pickering Town take on Eington Colery. Then on Saturday the 16th, Bartontown against Carton Town, Daventry Town against Botisford Town, Rosington Main against Newark Town, Sheffield against B, Trafford against Campion and Wwell Town against Parkgate. Comparing that to recent seasons, if we go back to 201617, 23 clubs took part in the extra preliminary round, 13 qualified, that’s 56%. AFC, Mansfield, and Hansworth got the furthest in the competition. They made it to the third qualifying round. In 2017 18, 24 took part in the extra preliminary round. 13 got through. That’s 54% and AFC Mansfield got the furthest third qualifying round. 2018-19 22 clubs took part 13 got through that’s 59% Nesbra stably miners welfare made it to the second qualifying round in 201920 22 clubs took part 12 got through that’s 54% Maltby main AFC Mansfield Stley Miners welfare and liver made it to the first qualifying round on to 202021 19 took part 11 got through. That’s 58% AFC Mansfield made it to the second qualifying round 2021-22. 19 took part, eight made it through to the extra prelim to the preliminary round. That’s 42%. Hamssworth made it as far as the third qualifying round in 2022. 18 took part, seven got through, that’s 19 39%. Gold, Pennis, and Church made it to the first qualifying round. In 2023 24, 18 took part, eight made it through, that’s 44% and Emily made it to the third qualifying round. And last season, 2024-25, 18 took part, nine got through, that’s 50%. Halam and Botisford made it to the second qualifying round. [Music] Next up, NCL talk. I’ll hand straight over to host Aaron Walton. Hello and welcome to everybody. It’s the NCL talk. I’ve got Sai with me. I’ve got Richard and I’ve got the long awaited return of Bob. I hope you’re one one listener who will be so chuffed you’re back. and I’m so pleased to see you. Yeah, thank you. Thank you very much, Aaron. Thank you very much. That’s all right. Good to see you. How was your factf finding tour of 4G pictures over Britain? Very good. Oh, good. So, we’ve got a lot to pack in because we weren’t we weren’t there last week. So, we we’re going to go over a couple of weeks fixtures and then look at the league tables, how they’re doing, and uh one or two other bits and bobs. So again, a really busy weekend and midweek for clubs in both leagues. As I say, we didn’t have a podcast last week. So let’s quickly gloss over the games from two weeks ago. Starting with the extra preliminary round of the Emirates FA Cup kicked off on Friday night because I usually forget Friday night’s football night with But don’t worry, I’m here to remind you. Thank you, Bob. Yeah, I’ve missed you. So Jordan’s having to been done that sorting me out. Anyway, picker in town they progressed with a good win over Penri 3-2. A late late Jordan Hines goal the difference as I say 3-2 on the final whistle. So Saturday saw 15 of our clubs in action. Uh Beverly kicked off with a I’m just I’m just going to go back. Did he did he mention there was a division one match on that Friday night? I’ve got it down, Bob. But you’ve you’ve be a little bit pre sure there, sir. But don’t worry, we’ll get that one in. It was uh it was Wasbra Bridge and Don District, wasn’t it? It was. Yeah. Yeah. I’ll mention that one. Uh we’ll just go back to the FA Cup. So, as you say, you’re keeping me on track, Beverly, with a trip up to the Northeast, losing 3-1 to Bertley Town. Uh Botisford beating Melton Town 3-0. Now, that was a good win for Botes because Melton Town are a decent outfit. Frickley lost narrowly to Bri House Town away 1 nil. Gulker lost by the odd goal at home to Ramsbotm. Uh Hansworth lost to Silsden at Oliver’s Mount 4-1. Hubry and Wwell uh Lur and Barton, Sheffield and Albian, Nesber and Bridlington all drew and needed midweek replays. Tadcaster lost out to Thornby 32 away. Rosington beat Molton or Molton 4-1 at Oxford Road. Penniston lost at home to a good padium team 4-1. Parkgate beat Ecklesil 1 nil. Uh Liver lost to Wan Shaw at home 3-0. That must have been a good performance from Wenshaw and Thackley lost away to saw three teams through on the Saturday uh at 10 to 5. Sunday saw Campion beat Northwich Victoria 2-0 away. So four teams through by the weekend. Replays. Well, they saw another three NCL teams progress. Bartontown, Sheff Bartontown, they beat Lur in a replay. Now, that was a strange one, wasn’t it, Richard? Because Barton played both games at home. Yes, it was uh nice not to have to make that long trip down to Less. The students looked absolutely shattered on Tuesday night before they ticked off, didn’t it? So, um but it was a good performance, wasn’t it, Rich? 2-1. Yeah, played well. Yeah. Yeah, they really they really played well. I I I thought it was it was a good game to watch and a good crowd as well. I can’t remember how many there was, but it was nearly 300. 301, wasn’t it, in the second game? Was it 301? Yeah, it was. It was a good crowd online. Oh, was it? Oh, we must little kids. We missed every little kids behind the goal playing football. H Yeah. So, that was a good win. Sheffield beat Albian by the odd goal. Nesbro were valiant in in defeat but but there was a little Now Bob do you know about that there was a little bit of controversy weren’t there so what happened there well Brid won the the match 2-1 then a few days later it came apparent that Nesby wanted to make a substitution but the referee wouldn’t allow it but he was wrong the rules said that FA rules said they could do so therefore they had to replay the match the follow this week didn’t they so they played Tesma traveled to um Bridlington again this week. Yeah. And the score was uh 4-1 to Bridlington. 4-1 to Bridlington this time. So justice was sort of served in some respect, won’t it? But yeah. Yeah, there’s so many different rules. I mean, who would be a referee nowadays? Every competition’s got different rules and and so on and so forth. I mean, I I think a few seasons ago I was at a League Cup game between Brig and Hallum and it was uh at full time it was a it was a draw and I think both managers wanted to go straight to penalties and I think one of the officials from one of the clubs says, “Oh, no, no, you got to play you got to play extra time.” So, they played extra time. It still went to penalties. Poor old Allan probably went home got home about 2:00 in the morning. Uh and it turns out that they could have actually gone straight to penalties. So, who knows? You just don’t know, do you? No, it’s a it’s a kathuffle. Anyway, that was sorted out. Uh, so the draw Friday sees Pickering versus East and Collery. This is for the FA Cup. Barton play Carlton Town at home on Saturday. Daventry play Bottersford Town. Uh, Rosington play Newark Town. Uh, Sheffield play B. Trafford play Campion and Wwell. put our wound well. They would like to play a different team in a different league, but they get Park Gates. So, we’re at least we’re going to get one NCL team through, aren’t we? So, that’s that’s that. Now, going back to the Friday night, Bob, you mentioned there was a division one game, wasn’t there, two weeks ago between Wasbra and Denon District. There was. There was indeed. And I’m just trying to find it. Yeah. And Don District, I believe they won that on that night, didn’t they? Two-0. Yeah. Two. Yep. Two-0. Yeah. Yeah. So, that was a a really good result for Don District who seem to be going absolutely like like a a rocket at the moment. Um also on the going back that was a Friday on the Saturday there was quite a few division one games. Apple Fraudingham beat Route One Rovers 1 nil. So that was a good win at Brumby Hall for appro crawl cults who were going well. They uh drew nil nil with South Leads. So that’s a good result for Coral Colts because South leads looking good this season. Doncaster City 2 or Brigtown 2. So a good a good game there at Armthop. Doncaster City versus Brig. And yes, you’re smiling Robert because the viewers can’t see your face, but we’re going to talk not too long please. G6 nostal miners welfare nil. Pray tell. Well, first of all, it was our first it was our first game um or second first league game, but second game on the new 3G because that’s now laid and passed. So, we played on the 3G. And as you know, last year when you you and Richard came, only two sides of the ground were open. Now, it’s three sides of the ground. You can stand behind the goal at the railway end. All right. And you’re much closer to the action because it’s like Bisford. You’re right. they sort of with the athletics track separated between the football and the and the you know for people watching now you’re now like so it’s like so it’s the viewing experience is a lot better a lot better but the the only trouble is at the moment the parking there’s no parking for um the away teams or supporters in fact we’ve got a very maybe two or three cars for the home team that’s about it you know so because at the moment you see the other side the main stand is still what they’re still at doing well with that. It’s but putting the steel structure up. So that’s a nogo area. So therefore it’s where the dressing rooms are and the and the hospitality suites. That’s for that you see. So there is no no really parking on the ground at the moment. Oh, so that’s the only downside. But the upside was you won six nil. So pray tell us about that game. Yeah. Yeah. Well, Danny Ward um we were 3 up by halftime. Um Danny Ward scored a hat-tick in the game. Uh he he got the first goal, second goal by Ashley Worfold and the third goal by Mitchell Carton who just we just signed previously a few days earlier three at half time. Then Danny got his fourth in 59th minute then fifth 77th and James Simmerite finished it off in the 8th 84th minute and but the last keeper he was there man of the match he kept the score line down. We played for for our first league game we played really well and a good attendance for us 193. Yeah, which our average last year was 164. So if we keep playing like that, hopefully our tendencies will go up. Um because unfortunately before the season started we had three friendlies uh to be played against um Goo United, York City and Workshop but unfortunately we had to cancel them which is a big blow for any non-league club because it’s it’s important revenue um when you when you start a season you know and we had to cancel those. So hopefully um we if if we’re doing well, people come and watch us because it’s a big hole in our finances. But we did we have I’ll just plug this um on our ex we did launch a gofund um camp money to try and raise some money. We’re trying to raise n grand. It’s well it’s reached £110 at the moment. But if anyone wants to put a five or anything like that throughout the club because I say it’s a big thing for non league matches not to have the finance. um please do you know you’d find it on the Google um club’s uh Twitter account at the top of the page and there is a wheelbarrow going around the pitch at at home matches I presume like that in the old days we’re talking about in the old days ghoul town they used to go around with a blanket four people with a blanket and throw money from the terraces on into this blanket you know yeah god forbid that now health and safety oh dear me do it no yeah that was the old you know so yeah yeah so that was cool well done and then we go on to Leeds University beat glass out 2-0 maltby and Illey Drew nil nil Shelby beat La 1 nil Wakefield three Harriut Railway three um was you at that game uh Sai or I saw I saw that one I’ve not been to one since that one but I have seen that one um briefly I’ll I’ll I’ll be I’ll be succinct with it uh 2-1 down at Halime time um with a goal for Ash Flynn for us in the first half. Just after the break, we pulled level to 2-2 with a Billy Mole header. Thought we’d won it with two minutes to go when Nathaniel Moenda um scored what we thought was the winner. Um but a draw was a fair result and former Wakefield player Josh Lockwood got that for Harriut in injury time to uh pull a draw back, but it was a fair result. Was a draw. 3-3. There’s been a lot of late goals, hasn’t there? In in all competitions, League Cup, leagues, and FA Cup. There’s been some real late goals, hasn’t there? And again, in the next one, you come to um that is is it win hitten three, ASL recreation four? Yeah, correct. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was a Was it ASL’s late late show? I think it was. Well, both teams scored in the 90th minute, so Yeah. Yeah. And I think Winston had somebody sent off as well. I know I went to watch Winston in the week that week. I can’t remember who they were playing. Um but I know they lost. I think it was Armthorp. Uh and I was chatting to Robbie Start the manager and he was saying they had somebody sent off. It was a bit bit of a soft one, but he weren’t happy. So that’s that’s that. And if we go to midweek, um that saw Beverly Town lose 3-2 at the Norwood to Penniston. And again, obviously this is two weeks ago, a late Leon Hur’s Brooks strike. So Beverly sort of stuttering. They did last season and they’re doing it this season. Pickering beat Gulker 3-2 and Thackley beating Rosington away 1 nil. So the Denny Boys are on good form continues under new boss Jamie Price. Now we weren’t sure, were we on the podcast, how that would go, Richard, because they’d had so many players, management and what have you, such upheaval, we thought they might be struggling, but certainly not. Are they rich? Well, haven’t they? Yes. Very, very impressive. Yeah, I think they’ve sort of started like they did last season. So, well done to Thackley. I know they’ve got got some good club men behind them. So, they go from strength to strength and uh where we go division one. So, uh Ghoul’s good form continue with a late goal settling at Aly Sharing Park 2-1. Did you go Bob? I did. Um it was it was a good game. Um we scored first again Danny War he he got the first opening goal for Ghoul. Then that the ex go player Nathan Perks. We knew ex players seem to score against us. He equalized Nathan. But then Jimmy and he was sub he was sub on this game cuz at Nostto I think he was away or injured didn’t play such but you couldn’t change a winning team. He came on a sub and in the 89th minute a long ball down the middle he ran onto it out pace the center forward and banged it into the net and the crowd went wild. The crowd went wild at sheering park. They do look after you there at a I’ve never been before. It was a really nice setup. Nice people. Nice setup. Absolutely top class at a D and District. They beat Wakefield 4-nil. You didn’t go to that one did you sigh? I didn’t know but we were soundly beaten in that one. Um the the fans voted the man of the match as being actually our debut on young goalkeeper that came in and he conceded four. So it kind of tells you what about the performance when the guy that gets man of the match is a goalkeeper that conceds four apparently now. Um yeah we were well beaten in that one. Yeah well they I think they are on some good form in district aren’t they? So well done to Dane uh glass out and two I probably fingham them too. So a point on the road for app fraud. Arrogant Railway still going strong beating Leeds University 3-0 and WBRA getting a win away at La 2-1. Long way to go for WBRA along those lenure B- roads. Well done to Wasbra for getting all points at La. So oh we finally finally on to Saturday last Saturday. Well a bit ah Bob. Yes yes yes Bob. Don’t worry Friday nights. Wednesday night. Wednesday night on the We’ve done the Tuesday. Yeah, Wednesday. Yeah, go Wednesday. Who was on on Wednesday, Bob? Well, Wednesday the after Wednesday it was Echil one, Tadcaster 2 in the Premier League. Um 69th minute winner from Oliver Green at Tadcaster and it was Hanssworth 2, Liver um and all the goals coming in the last eight minutes. Hans 82nd, 85th 90th minute. Then division one, uh, we’ve got Bri on the on that same night, Brigtown one, Club Thorn three, and that was Briggs. You see the crowd? Did you see the crowd that night? 300. 457. 457. Yeah, because it was their first match on the new 3G like ours. Great count as 3-1. So, uh, and then Doncaster won. Uh, Illey too. Uh, that’s a good result for Oakley to go to Doncaster because Donny was one of the preseason favorites, wasn’t there? As I say, but you know what, football’s a funny old game. Uh, route one overs, Malt Bain one. Zack Zack K, he got an atric that night. He seems to be knocking them balls in goals in Duty. Have you ever noticed? He got He got two hat tricks already this season. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, he has. Yeah. Yeah, he has. I think he was on 10 goals already double figures. Then from that South leads three, Selby two. Now we that was our opening match of the season. We lost two nil at South Leads. I mean we weren’t great that day but South Leads were look a pretty strong team. I think it’s a hard place to going to go to to South Le this year as they won 3-2 and then um to finish up the evening fixtures Winton two uh Arthop well for well for three. So 3-2 win for Arthur. Yeah. So I think going back to South Leads, they’ve got uh Craig Oglev in charge. He’s been at a few clubs. I remember him when he was at number two at Harriut Railway and number two with at Albian Sports. And he’s come back. He’s come back to manage South Lead. So any team Craig’s usually involved with usually play good football and they’re tough to beat. So long may it continue. Um, now we’re up to speed now cuz I’ve completely missed all them, Bob. So, I’m so pleased you’re back. Um, Friday night. So, a flood light failure, didn’t it, with uh at Gulker with Sheffield 1 nil up 80 minutes once it the flood lights went off. So, what what what’s going to happen there? Is it a replay or does it does it still stand or don’t we know? It was with us when it happened to us at Durn, but it might be. I don’t know if it depends on what minute it happens. I don’t know if it’s the percentage of the game that’s completed as to whether it’s a result or not. Right. But when when we had that happen at Durn, um we had to replay it and we were two nil up. And how many minutes was that when they went out? I think it was I don’t know. Top of my head, I’m going to say something like 60 65 something like that. I can’t remember. Top of my head. Yeah, I think this was 80 minutes if my know correct. So 10 minutes to go, but we stoppage time. But still a long time to go into it. We just one nil being up and I should think Gulker will be chucking everything everything at Sheffield to get a goal back. So you just never know, do you? We never know what the NCL board or whatever the FA rules state. So because nobody knows. So that was that was one nil. I got abandoned. So Saturday uh there was a good crowd and a hard-fought win for Bartontown 1 nil against Frickley. Richard, your thoughts on that one quickly. It was a good game. Thought both sides played pretty well. Barton just shaded it. It could have gone either way, but I’d say it’s the best friendly side I’ve seen for a few years. They were good, weren’t they? Were dogged. Yeah, there was a there was a little bit of controversy with the goal. They thought it was offside. Um, the VEO. Well, I don’t know. What do you think about it? I thought his run was just about right. I thought you can’t tell because you can’t see when the pass is made to him. It’s very tight, but you can’t see when the pass is made. Yeah. And the line was sort of there or thereabouts. Uh, so it’s like I say, it’s a difficult one, but it was was it Louis Stevens? It was. Yeah. Yeah. Uh it’s a but it could have been one all and it could have been two-1 to Frickley because two good saves from Charlie Dixon Brown near the end. Want there’s one where he tipped it onto the bar. I thought he hit the bar but he did tell me that he did do it. He got his hands to it and then the tremendous save that you was near you Richard from about 20 odd yards out. It was it was moving about was once it dipping and swerving and how he got to that and turned it around the post I do not know. Yeah. Pulled it right out the corner. was going right in the corner. Want it? He He couldn’t have hit it any better, could he? No, the freickly striker. So, uh, good win for Barton. Not a bad crowd. So, good day all round. Uh, for Barton, they won 1 nil. Uh, Botford lost 4-0 to Rosington. So, Rosington are doing they’re doing really well. I mean, we got a draw with them first game of the season, didn’t we? 1-1. So I think uh I think Rosington are doing Nesbra 2-1 winners against Albian a late one of our favorite players Richard and one of H size’s favorite players Slater Bark and Barnes with a winner loves a 90th minute goal as well does that it was once yeah we’ve got this theme going haven’t we? You can’t especially at Nesbra you’ve got to you’ve got to keep them out because they’ll just keep going and going and going. They’re such a good I mean we’ve never got anything at Nesbra have we Richard? No, nothing. They’ve gone to Mance Lane plenty of times. We’ve had the crowd on our backs. All All 10 of them. No, there’s a few more there, but a good place to go. They look after you well. We just don’t get anything as results wise. Um, Liver back on the horse. They beat Beverly 2-0. Tough place to go there at Clayborn Park. Parkgate 2-0 against Hanssworth. Uh, Parkgate’s good form continues. Penniston nil, Eckles Hill nil. Good point for the Eagles on the travels and Thackley nil. Harbury nil. Then again a good point for Hbury. I think they’ve drawn quite a few games, haven’t they? Um draws. Oh yeah. Yeah. Division one. Armthought four. Crow Colts won. So Crow Colts come with a bounce back down to earth. Armthorps forms continuing to be really good. I think it was Adam who said Armthorp had a good team and he was looking for them to be in the top top few places, wasn’t he? And they seem to be uh doing him right. Aly to Selby one. So good win for Arthurley. Big game at the Hawthorns. Bricktown played Ghoul. A super crowd again. 386. So the Vikings slay the zebras 4-nil. Well done them. Yeah, well on the on the crowd there must have been at least 70 80 from go which is a good traveling support and yeah it was we was two n up after seven minutes actually wor header rich cton mitchell cton the second one uh so that was 2-0 time and then come out again at second half James simite got at the third and shame your head which was the best goal of the match great passing one two passing and he’ll put through and and and put it in and so yeah a Great display all all around. But I have to say Briggs, it’s a nice setup there. I haven’t been to Brig for a few years. Nice. And the 3G like ours, they do look superb, you know. Yeah. Yeah. It’s a it’s a good ground. It was looking a bit tired, but they spent some money on it. It looks brilliant now. Really good. Yeah, it does. It does. Yeah. So, uh, good win for Brick. Haven’t quite got going yet, and I I think they will, but they’ve got to get going. Club Thorn beat Winon. So, a real choker for the Rangers. Uh, again, a 90th minute goal, won’t it? Was it Harry Douglas? Yeah, Harry Douglas. Yeah, 90th minute. Another 90th. This seems to be the theme in the NCL, doesn’t it? Both divisions, 90th minute and extra uh injury time goals. Durnistric keep up their early pace setting form, putting two past Apple Fingham. So, that’s good for Durn. Glass out and lost out by And that was two, sorry, that was two late goals. 86 87th. Yeah. Again, again, this proves to me do not leave the game early, otherwise you will miss the goals. So, no good running off to Oh, I’ve got to get in me car. We’ve got to get home early. No, stay. So, Glass Out lost out by a goal in a 4-3 thriller against Illey. Arrogate Rail two, Maltby main two. Another late goal there, I think. Uh this time for railway getting it to a 2-2. Uh and another Desmond with La versus Le University 2-2. Noral lost out to Osbor 2-1. So Wbor getting back on the on the horse so to speak. They’re getting some good results together. Route one Robers also losing to the same score against Doncaster City. Uh Zack Kahn, as we said, scored for Rovers again. And Kieran Mortimer scoring for Doncaster City. Dad Bob will be pleased and Mason Barlow getting the winner for City. So Doncaster starting to uh move up the table and Bob what did Tadcaster have? They had Lead United under 21s, didn’t they? They did. Yeah. A friendly lost out 2-1. So but I think that’s good for Tadcaster having a run out because they’re they’re doing really well at the moment, aren’t they? So again, so we had a Yes, Bob. Is that you missed one match? South leads Wakefield. I did. I’m just waiting for you and uh the one time Bob. Seriously, the one time I was gonna leave it because I didn’t want to I’m always think I’m always thinking of our listener. Our listener wouldn’t want to miss it. I know he’s a great field fan. He would Sorry. Well, that’s true. Yeah. Sorry. What happened? Well, it it seemed that seven goals in the match and um Wakefield were two- one up at Halime. Um but then it seems Southeast came back um made it two all then Weightfield 2-2 down. They went in front. Yeah. 3-2. Um Wford all equalized it 70th minute and then a late goal by Taylor Starky in the 85th made it 4-3. But South leads I think they’ve won all the home games. They’ve beaten us. They’ve beaten Wakefield being Selby. So they’re strong at home. South leads definitely. Definitely. So you didn’t go to that one did you say? No. Um I think capitulated is probably the adjective you’d use for that one. um after being two and up. But um apparently um the 85th minute was a fantastic free kick which was worthy of winning any match. So give him credit for that one. And yet again the former Wakefield player scoring against us. Harley Blankley got two for South Leads in that one. So I looked I looked through Saturday pictures the amount of former Wakefield players that have been scoring on that day. Dear mate, how very dare they score against their old club? No, I mean just for other clubs, I tell you. Other clubs as well. How dare they score full stop. So, um, midweek, so it was a it was a what we call a musive round of fixtures, was it midweek? Uh, obviously we c chatted about it earlier. Bridlington Town to replay. They won 4-1 against Nazis with that FA Cup replay. the Prem Beverly Town getting off the mark with a 1-1 draw with Parkgate 339 down at the Norwood. That’s good. Hampion one, Pickering Town one. So, Pickering Town’s form still good. Campions doing okay. Hubry Town two, Barton Town two. Richard, a quick one on that one. Great advert for the league. It was a good game. Barton on top for the first half. Two excellent Tom Wby goals. And when you’ve got that two-nil score line, you always say, don’t you, whoever gets the next goal is is vital in the game. Hbury got it just on the stroke at Halime. And then the second half’s a completely different game. Hbury the better side in the second half. And if anybody was going to win it, it was going to be it’s a good point for Barton. Definitely. Um they lost. They were two up and in charge and but um couldn’t see it out. I’m gonna I’m gonna I’m gonna put a good excuse in for Barton. They had a lot of first teamers missing. Yeah, they had a lot of first teamers. So, I think one thing that came out of the game is um Joe Jagger is still an excellent player. Great stuff. Obviously, fully recovered from that injury now by Oh, good. Well done. I’m pleased. I’m pleased Joe’s I’m not pleased he scored against Barton, but I’m pleased he’s back firing on all cylinders. Well done, Joe. So um that was Hbridge Town two, Barton Town 2. Uh unfortunately I was at work. I seem to be missing so many games at the moment. It’s just unreal. Uh tagcasters form continues. A good 3-0 win against Wwell. So division one Apple Fingham nil. Harriat Railway won. Their form still good. Top of the league I think. And nostell crawl cults back on the winning game again winning 2-1. So if we quick quickly look at the um league tables, we’ll do div one first. We’ve got top Haragut Railway played five 11 points. South Leads played four and 10 points. Then we’ve got Bob’s Ghoul played four and nine. Don District played four and nine. Armthrop played three and nine. And Clubthorn Collery played three and nine. Uh then at the bottom, Nostell, they haven’t got a point yet. Played four nothing. glass out and four and one point, but they’re perennial slow starters, aren’t they? And Brigtown down there surprisingly played four and one point getting to grips with the new 4G pitch one presumes. So that’s div one. Uh in the Premier League, Tadcaster was said there on top form can’t get any better. Played 3-1, three, nine points. Penniston played three and seven points. Same as Stackley, three and seven. Park Gate and Pickering and Barton Town all on played three and five points. Down at the bottom, uh we’ve got four clubs with no points yet. Bford played two and no points. Weld two and no points. I think it’s two and maybe three. My writings like a doctors. Albian played two and no points. And Gulker played two and no points. So, it’s a bit early in the season, but I think there’s not really many surprises there for us, is there? Would you say? No, no, it’s Well, not really. Not really. Um, but I think uh Tadcaster and Harriet top of each each respective league, they’ve had they had a good start, haven’t they? They have. Yeah. Yeah. Cader play three nine points. So, that’s good. And Har five and 11 points. But but then you look at teams like club thorn and armthop they played three in division one and won all the games nine points 100% record um that’s and I think crew coach I mean they’ve made the step up played four seven points that’s a good start for them and uh yeah yeah I think looking good so what we’ll do is we’ll quickly if we’ve got time we’ll quickly go through wrap it up and look at the weekend’s fixtures so it all starts off tomorrow uh night FA Cup preliminary round Emirates FA Cup pickering town at home to easington Collier. That’ll be a tough one. Picker in Eington I think in a a step above. Then division one we’ve got Wakey and La Wakefield and La are you going to that one Sai? Yeah definitely going. Yeah. Yeah that’s that’ll be a good game for you. And Wosbra play South Leads now. That’ll be a good game that one I think as well. So two good games in div one Saturday the FA Cup. We’ve got Bartontown and Carlton Town. and Cartner in a step above, but Bart have played Carlton before and beaten them. So fingers crossed they’ve got players back. Uh Davantry Town play Botisford Town. Tough trip for Botford down there, but they they’re usually pretty good in the cup. Rosington play Newark Town. Winnable. Sheffield FC play B. Uh Trafford play Campion. That’ll be a tough one for Campion, but I’ve I’ve know I have all the faith in the world in them. And another hometown Wwell versus Parkgate. So Wwell and Parket that could go either way. Prem in the Prem frickley play Thackley that’ll be a tight affair. You watch it be got about like 72 or 65 or something d like that but it should be quite tight there at Frickley. Gulker player Hanssworth uh Liver play Eckles Hill and I’ve got Penniston and Tadcaster. Is that correct? Mhm. It’s Yep. It’s second play versus first. So a top of the table clash at this early stage in the season. So that could go either way. It’ be good to see. Division one brick playton in their big link derby there. That’ll be a good game because both teams have not started particularly well but they want to kick on. Crawl cults play a wreck. Doncaster City and Club Thorn Collery. Another sort of local derby there. Third place fifth. Gull play Armthorp. So that’ll be a good time for you, Bob. Hopefully crowd there. Yeah. Get Come early and tell people to come early. Yeah. Come early because there’s no car parking. That’s right. Yeah. What is you parked around the ground, you know, on in the streets. What What can we do? What can this season’s going to be? That’s what we can do, you know. Well, I’ve always parked in the street when I’ve been there. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You don’t You don’t do me any favors, Bob, when I’m there. I don’t even win the raffle. Oh, don’t don’t people complain. I sell the raffle tickets. I still complain. But I know somebody’s somebody’s got to win it. They just Yeah. Yeah. Never mind. I didn’t I didn’t want I didn’t want a load of meat anyway. No, it’s cash brown cash. I never win them. Anyway, so Illay Route One Rovers Leeds University and Don District. That’d be a good test for Don District there. Maltby and Glass Outton and Selby and Nostell Miners welfare. And now if I could quickly go through because there’s a full midweek uh fixture list again Premier League Bartontown and Albian Bersford and Frickley Gulker and Beverly that’ be a good one uh Liver and Wwell Parkgate and Eckles Hill Pickering and Sheffield Tadcaster and Hbury and then on Wednesday it’s Campion and Hansworth Penniston and Rosington and Nesbra and then on Friday night size team are in action again. Friday night is football night. It’s Armthought Welfare versus Wakefield. That’ll be a real good game, that one, won’t it? It will. So, it will. So, and then if we just quickly look at the top goal scorers, as we said before, it’s Zack Khn with 10 for Route One Robers and Nathan Perks with seven forlessly wreck. And they’re both from the uh division one. They’ve played a few more games though and in the Premiership it’s is it George Brown four for Pickering? I think that’s George Brown. Yeah. For picking four. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that’s that’s that that’s tickling along nicely with the with the teams. I think the main thing we we’ve we’ve looked at is these late goals, isn’t it? There’s lots and lots and lots of late goals being scored. [Music] That’s it for this edition.
