Your driver’s about as consistent as a coin flip—probably thanks to that wannabe-Scottie Scheffler swing that looks like your feet are trying to escape the crime scene

  2. PoorFormFixer

Back swing too flat/inside causing you to come in too steep on the down swing.

Not sure if you are trolling or not, but SLOW DOWN!!

You are literally almost swinging out of your shoes!!

  4. sleepytime03

With your right elbow that far away from your body, I will assume everything is equally inconsistent.

If u can’t see even at least one problem here u need to get lessons. After a few u should know ur issues and what to practice.

I’m not a swing coach by any means, but I think there’s actually some really good stuff going on in your back swing and then your first movement at the top forces your swing over the top and brings the club face from out to in. If you can “shallow” the club on the way down instead of casting, I think this could be a good swing. I’m all for unique golf swings too, but I do think there’s a bit of unnecessary/wasted movement going on in the lower body at the end of the swing. Just my thoughts, best of luck to ya!

Tempo. Overswing. Flat takeaway = over the top to compensate.

I would try holding a towel under the right armpit

How’s the rancho renovation coming along?

So you happen to notice when you swing you almost do a full circle?

A few things that people have said are spot on. I know as these are my bad habits – dont swing as flat, stay more balanced on follow through.

The #1 is tempo as you transition from the backswing – you need to stop going over the top. I like to feel like your hands drop a bit before sending it. Patience. Not only will you hit it straighter and more consistently, you’ll get min 5-10% extra distance from the extra lag.

What’s your driver and 5 wood carry?

    You don’t follow through enough.

99% of this sub’s posts is best answered with “get a lesson”. This one is no different. There’s so much wrong, you aren’t solving it here.

Grip, stance, swing plane, weight transition, wrists…it all needs fixed.

Edit: if that seems harsh and perhaps too vague, here are just a few examples.

Your stance – feet are closed (right) of target while your shoulders are open (probably to compensate)

Swing plane – too flat and over the top

    Grip – too strong

Club face – closed the whole way

Weight transfer – you’re spinning like a dancer…your balance needs work

Take about 60% off and you’ll see a change

  16. Eaglesforchange

Just get more reps in and you’ll be more consistent.

Dude. If quiet was a golf swing, you are a high school marching band.

I would suggest starting by placing your head well behind the ball at address, then just trying to keep it perfectly still throughout the swing. That won’t be the end game, but it’s a LOT closer to the finished product than… whatever that was.

As others said, your main problem is that you’re coming wayyyy over the top. There’s a number of reasons for it. The main three to work on are

    1) Your backswing is very flat. Make sure your right shoulder is slowed down lower than your left shoulder during setup. And just keep practicing your backswing with recordings to watch back

    2) Keep your trail elbow tucked to your body. Put a towel or a glove in your armpit and focus on not dropping it until after you’ve made contact with the ball

    3) Make sure you’re not lifting your trail foot until after you make contact with the ball. This is causing you to throw your arms out further and come over the top. A good drill is putting an iron club face under your left heel so that the club is angled up off the ground. Keep pressure on your trail heel and make sure the club doesn’t fall until after you make contact with the ball.

And as a final note, I think you’re over swinging. At the end your chest should face the target. You’re going way past that right now.

Just no balance lol. And I’m very inconsistent myself . But I do know this much you swung yourself out those shoes of yours

  20. mojorific

Coming in shallow and going out steep.

  21. _DirtyBeefCurtns

Man, just watch your backswing to follow through. Looks like you’re about to fall over. Sloooooooowwwwwww doooooooowwwwwwnnnnnnnn.

  22. Neither-Tie-4235

There’s some good points here, but I also think you suffer from early extension.

The comment earlier on flat and inside take away is on the right track.
That is causing your balance at the top to have weight on your toes.
Look at the 6 second mark. You have a ton of weight on your left toe. As you start your down swing watch your head and upper torso. Yes there working down but there also working closer the ball!!!! As you approach impact you have to stand up out of posture and lose you spine angle to work back away from the ball or you’d hit the ball off the shaft!
Even standing up and working away from the ball while your hips are working towards the ball.your still hitting it off the heel of the club. Very hard to time that correctly.
Need to work on your take away to keep your weight more centered on your feet eventually working heel to heel when you transfer your weight. That should help maintain your distance from the ball and allow you to maintain your posture and spine angle better.

Keep the club in front of you…ie, the handle
Of the club through the entire swing should be aligned with your sternum
