In this FRL betting segment, SleepyJ and Dave identify value plays for Thursday leads.
(0:00 – 0:50) SleepyJ takes Brian Harman at 45-1, citing course familiarity, strong recent results (three Top-25s in last four), and early tee pairing with Cantlay.
(0:51 – 2:32) Dave doubles down on Harman and adds Harry Hall (45-1) and Ben Griffin (30-1), praising Griffin’s quiet 9th-place last week and 11th rank in SG: Total. 30. So, let’s go ahead. Let’s jump into our first round leaders there. Uncle Dave, this one might surprise you if you’re looking for length. I didn’t take a guy with a lot of length. I went ahead and I took Brian Harmon at 45 to one because I figured, you know what, why not? You know, he goes out early. He’s paired up there with Kentlay and I think that that could be a little bit of a help. And he’s been here before and there’s not many guys in this field that have seen this course before. And I think that those guys that at least have been here at this course will have that at least a little bit in their favor. Now, he finished well here when he did play here at 29th. And he’s had three top 25 finishes in his last four events. I just think at like this point of the season, Harmon kind of just sounds and feels right. So, I’m going to go I’m going to give him out at 45 to one. That’s the only one I have there. Uncle Dave Brian Harmon 45 to1 the first round leader. What do you got? Well, I’m going to pile on because uh in part uh this is the next to last chance and it could be the last chance I’ll get to do it. Uh but I took Harmon as well and I took Harry Hall at 45 to1. I mean, I don’t need to expound on why uh because if you guys have listened, I’ve I’ve explained that all year long. Both of them are are excellent first round golfers. And I think my next favorite bet to lead after Thursday, uh, Ben Griffin at 30 to1. Now, Griffin hasn’t gotten a lot of airtime over the last four or five weeks. Uh, but he was quietly ninth last week. And, you know, that means his form is at least above average. And in spite of what he doesn’t do well, which which it can include accuracy, he’s 11th in shots gain total. and from where he sits in the standings, you know, taking accounting to the fact that, you know, next week is no longer a flighted event. He has every opportunity to win the whole thing. Uh so I like that bet. And then for uh for for I don’t know if this is pizza real money or I love it, but I took JT post end of round top five at nine to one. Why would I do that? Well, because Sea is not playing. There’s 49 guys instead of 50. So Poston’s going off by himself first. I mean, how cool is that? You got nobody in front of you. Take your time. Do whatever you want. Um, I like his form recently. So, if I had to pick any top any first round bet, it’d probably be posting top five and first round at nine to one. I think that’s that’s kind of a uh that’s kind of a
