The 2025 Ryder Cup takes place at Bethpage from 26-28 September, with Team Europe looking to defend their title.

Imagine the excitement in the air as Luke Donald announced the next two players joining his European Rder Cup team for the 2025 showdown against the United States at Beth Page Black. But here’s where it gets truly special. His fellow countrymen Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood have officially secured their spots. Donald at 47 couldn’t be more thrilled, sharing his joy on social media after the news was confirmed in the European camp. Rose, 45, etched his name in golf history once again by clinching his 12th PGA Tour title and his first since February 2023. His stunning playoff victory over US Open champion JJ Spawn at the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind was nothing short of spectacular. Rose birdied six of his last eight holes to secure the win in Memphis, earning his seventh appearance on the European Rder Cup team. Fleetwood, 34, narrowly missed out on a playoff victory in his 162nd PGA Tour start, but still managed to secure his spot. Despite taking a twoshot lead into the final three holes, he stumbled with a par on the 16th and a costly bogey on the 17th, falling just short. Nevertheless, this will be his fourth consecutive appearance on the European Rider Cup team. Rose and Fleetwood now join Rory Mroy as the only three players guaranteed a place on the away team. Donald expressed his delight, saying, “Amazing to have both of these guys back on the team. They bring so much both on and off the course. Let’s go.” Three more players will earn automatic spots on the team with qualification ending after the Bet Fred British Masters at the end of the month. Donald will then reveal his six picks to complete the roster. The 2025 Ryder Cup is set to take place from September 26th to 28 at Beth Page. Team Europe led by Donald are the defending champions having secured a convincing fivepoint victory at Marco Simone in Rome, Italy in 2023. And this is the part most people miss. The European Rder Cup standings are a fascinating snapshot of the players performances. Rory Mroy leads the pack with 3,440.78 points, followed closely by Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood. The full rankings can be found on the RDER Cup website, offering a detailed look at the players qualifications. What do you think? Are you excited about the team lineup?
