Wife has expressed interest in an outdoor movie screen. My current net and hitting mat are shown in the second picture. I know the image wouldn't be this vibrant (this is AI). But is this possible as something that just stays up and continues to look not terrible? What's the best LM for this setup? Do I just surround the whole thing in waterproof uv resistant material and hang a regular screen inside?

You’re good till a storm hits….
I had similar plans but the mosquitos ruin the day. I’m going to build a shed to accomodate sim/have a little movie theatre. A rapsodo mlm2pro may be a good choice. Their subscription fees are very expensive though ($500 lifetime membership).
Lighting is going to make things tough outdoors regarding projector clarity.
You can do it for specific periods of the year. The electronic would remain portable because they would be ruined quickly if left out in the elements..
One idea would be to build a custom “shed” that you could closeup and store the screen and mats during winters.. 🤷♂️ Good luck.. 🤗
Possible. But you would likely have to build something custom so that it’s super sturdy. You’d also want to be able to close it up and secure everything for bad weather etc.
I wouldn’t just buy a simple enclosure kit and call it a day. Most of them probably won’t hold up outdoors.
Also a projector for a daylight outdoor sim can get pricey. Unless you only plan to use it when it’s dark out.

Get one of them carport canopies built and then do this underneath. You just need some type of structure overhead if you’re planning to keep it up year-round. You can wrap the structure with tarps to prevent wind and rain damage from the sides!

You would want to do something like this but use weather proof siding. Would cost a lot.
