The intersection of golf and culture.
Behind every drained putt or hosel rocket into the stands is a human being with complex emotions—among them, an insatiable appetite for golf. That’s what we’re after. Golf’s humanity is what makes it so special to us. There have never been more reasons to love this game, and we’re endeavoring to explore them all.

All right, Daniel, we’re gonna do a blind ranking of major championship courses that you’ve competed at. Okay, hit me. You said it was your first ever blind ranking. Yeah, I’m gonna walk you through it. All right. Pine nurse number two. Three. Thoughts on that place? It’s close to being number one. Like it’s I’m putting it at three because I’m wondering if there’s a couple other ones that you’re going to put at put me on that I think are going to be slightly as a test. You love that. I mean, it was one of the best. Whistling Straits 10. You don’t like it? No, I don’t like it because why? I played the PGA there. I think it was before the RDER Cup in like 16 and I played so bad there. And if I played bad there, then I just rank it rank it high. See, I feel like maturity is you got to be able to play bad somewhere and still like the golf course. I liked it when it was the Ryder Cup because they set the course up differently because you won. We won by a record and yeah, just they set the course up differently. Oakmont nine. You don’t like that place either? I don’t like Oakmont because it’s just almost borderline unfair. Like I know there’s supposed to be carnage at the US Open, but like we’re we’re hitting drivers on par threes. That’s borderline unfair. Kiwa eight because we’re starting with some bangers. I played terrible at Kiwa. I don’t like it. Okay. Carnoui. Carnoui would be four. You like that place? Yeah, it was really uh Do you like Lynx golf typically? I do like Lynx golf. That one was cool. Like there was It was super rock hard when I played it. Like I was hitting six iron, 260 yards. Uh Tory Pines. Tory Pines five. Okay. Right in the middle. Yeah, it was I mean one of my favorite stops of the year. I stay at one of my favorite places. Like also another way I rank it is is this is the city that Yes. Like is the food good? Is the place that I’m staying at good? And there’s a really cool place that I stay there. So that’s five. Uh Wingfoot. Wingfoot. Six. I thought that it was when I it was charmless the way they set it up. It was so narrow. Everyone was missing. It was but it was a COVID year so things just kind of felt weird. But in terms of the golf course, yes, it’s it’s one of the it’s top 10 for sure. Okay. So, the ones you have left are 1,2 Shinikok number one. Number one. Is that because you had your a really good finish there? It was one of the best majors that I ever had and it was fair but difficult. I like that area. I think the golf course is incredible. It’s got a mix of difficult par fours with reachable parfs. Like, it’s just a true real good test of golf. You got you’re two and seven. Okay. Royal Port Rush. Royal Port Rush would actually be number two. Oh, man. Yeah. Number two. I uh I just thought it was incredible. I think they did. I mean like one and two like it’s a battle. Shinikok and and Port Rush of the open venues. The one. Yeah. All right. Last one. This made me number seven. Augusta National. It’s it’s seven, but if I knew it would probably be a little higher. The blind ranking got you. The blind ranking got you. That’s it. Good stuff, man. Appreciate it. Wow. That appreciate it was perfect. Right at the same time.

Classic US Open course is charmless because the fairways were narrow? What an impossibly stupid thing to say
