There is one species in Sweden that
everyone can fish With a big warning of a lot of reel howl I never gave this species a fair chance But I’ve seen Tobbe do it in a couple
of videos, it looks exciting This fish will jump, it fights and even
gets you lactid acid in your arms I’ve got cramp in my arm What er are talking about is rainbow trout We will go to the famous Hökensås They got a lot of lakes that are super hot
for rainbow trout You can fish them in multiple ways we will show you how to angle and
spinning for rainbow trout and when we are done we’re gonna
grill a rainbow trout that we caught Later on when we’ve fished for a while
we will read your comments – But now I only feel one thing
– I’m so excited, we need to catch a pig It’s the first time for us here at Hökensås That’s why we been in this store to talk
to the one’s working here We got a lot of good tips, especially for
one small lake among all of them and we’ll start with that one, I’m stoked I hope the rainbow trouts will jump and
catch the baits in the air that’s exactly what’s gonna happen we’ve arrived to the first lake
looks really hot a small forest pool like the ones
we have back home in Småland Hökensås is not Småland but
I got some home vibes I’m so stoked to catch the first fish This net is gonna have to work today
I can feel it I can see the rainbow trouts on the
surface everywhere – This looks hot
– I saw a splash there as soon as we got here I saw
a rainbow trout jumping – not a jump but
– well you’re excited This place looks good to start angle
from, a nice easy accessible edge a small bench where we can rest
and eat something I’m stoked to get ready and rig the rods yeah let’s do that, they splash
all over the place The easiest and most effective way is to angle for rainbow trout I’ll start with this bottom angle rig
and also some dough not a dough for buns but a
powerbait dough It’s supposed to be super efficent
for rainbow trout This dough has a lot of smell
the whole lake will smell it They can come from the other side
of the lake and smell the dough and they come and take a bite and also a lot of glitter,
it will attract the rainbow trout I will but this fork in the ground
and rest my rod against it a rod holder? I didn’t think of that
Tobbe is and experienced angler I’m more like a spin fishing kind of guy
and also a lot better I’ll find a branch that will look like
a fork and work as a rod holder let’s see if I find any, I’ll take a log
or something Here’s something check it out Not the best rod holder, but if I
remove some branches you could put it in the ground
and have the rod here almost like Tobbes nice rod holder
I’m gonna get more fish It wasn’t so pointy, I have to use
all my muscles But i will work You can both angle with a float
or bottom angle I’ll start with some bottom angle
it feels hot The rainbow trouts are pretty high
up in the water So you would want the hook to be
like 1 m above the bottom I did a special rig with extra long leader
but I’ll show it to you later RIght now all I want is to start fishing preferably you would like to use a
feeder rod when you bottom angle But this rainbow trout fishing should
be simple and easy I got my regular rainbow trout rod
from Golden Catch with a 1000 size reel
and thin braided line I’ve got som fluorcarbon to end it with
so the line is almost invisible in the water and also some stretch so you dont’t
loose the fish so easy I’ve got a rainbow trout kit from Berkley
with all kind of fun things in it it’s 3 different powerbait dough,
shall we smell them and see which one? What is this? one orange, one green
and one blue Which one looks more tasty?
I think the blue one – I think the orange
– Shall we do a smelling test? Will be exciting to see what this one
actually smells like A prank, a double lid on it I can already smell it very strong scent It might be the strongest smell I felt I can’t really tell what it smells like
but I think the fish will like it It smells like shrimps or?
like fish smell There’s a picture of garlic here so it
probably smells garlic let’s see – ouaah, so much garlic
– can I smell it? It smells good
like when you cook at home I think the rainbow trouts will like it – I’ll start with the garlic
– Then I take the shrimp then you do a ball out of the dough My fingers will smell garlic Hope I’m not going on a date tonight just hide the hook in the dough the rainbow trout will bite and shred
the dough to crumbles To smell garlic is one thing but I will
smell shrimp and have glitter on me I’ll get glitter all over my face
might look good anyhow let’s see if I can make a nice ball there we go, this is a good size
For the rainbow trouts to eat I’m ready to cast it out The rainbow trouts are very active
they swim around everywhere I don’t think you should fish at
one spot only cast at one spot, for a minute and then
retrieve it slowly and get the rainbow trouts interested
in the lure But now Edvin let’s cast It was a long ago I was this stoked wow what a good cast Let’s see if my rod holder will work I’ll cast out aswell winning cast what? I have a fish on? – what?
– yes? The rod was twitching TOBBE! I didn’t even put down my rod I got one
or at least on fish on Such strong fishes You see that, talk about power Like a trout It just runs around, I can’t do anything I’ll unfold the net, the fish is coming up – a nice rainbow trout Edvin
– yeah it’s nice, net it Tobbe! It was really fat, and what a fight it was They have like so much adrenaline that was the sickest fight ever I’m pumped out,
I expected like a 8 kg fish That’s not a 8 kg fish
but so much power it’s crazy fun The dough did the work later on we will cook a fish
it’s pretty warm today and we haven’t got a cooler box
so this one will have to go back It’s important to have the fish in the
water as much as possible It can rest and Edvin can take the net Thank you Tobbe, good netting
first time ever Such a nice fish, so beautiful with all the dots, it’s so beautiful and nice look at this rainbow trout crazy how nice these fishes are the coulour, the dots and everything this is so much fun It’s wild so it has to swim back home 1-0 to the blue shrimp dough It might now even smell shrimp
but I think it does It did work at least, it was in the
water like literally 5 seconds I didn’t even get the chance to try my
nice rod holder it did work I’ve fished for 5 minutes, and not a
single contact so far the fish are maybe vampires and
don’t like garlic 5 minutes is nothing, Edvin can use the
blue one again, But if he catches another before me
I’ll steal some of that blue dough Not a rainbow fishing without this old
faihioned 3 legged chair Now you feel good, can’t get much
better than this some coffea and a bun and just wait
for the fish to bite Rainbow fishing is a real vacation fishing and on holiday you should sit comfortable
here I have my big comfy chair Edvin can have his small 3 legged chair flashy rod holders and comfy chairs But who catches all the fish? So far it’s the guy with the 3 legged chair
and wodden stick that’s how good I am ooh, Fish! – I got one
– you got one? no, Yes I got it damn oh NOOOO! I lost it on the garlic The fish are so wild in this lake
they jump all over the place I need to loosen my drag, but it’s hard
when they jump in the air you really need to have you drag loose If the drag is to hard, it’s easy for the
fish to shake loose from the hooks What are you doing Tobbe? you where
to comfy in your chair you lost one that jumped an all You’ll have to do better with the garlic Before I cast again it’s a perfect time
to show you how our rig looks like at the bottom I have a hook in size 4 which is special, it has a wire that makes
the dough stick better As you saw on the ones we hooked, they
jump a lot they also got small teeths so you need
some sort of leader you can use fluorcarbon or nylon line you can have like 1 m to the weight I’ll use a 15g pear weight you can use a heavier one but it makes it
easier for the rainbow to get loose 15g i decent As you see this rig is very simple you don’t need any advanced techniques
to fish for rainbow trouts now I’ll put on some more garlic dough
and hope to catch the next one I’ll change to a new dough, I’ll had the
first one on for like 30-45 minutes it starts to dissolve in the water that’s a good tip, maybe change every
half an hour and they’ll float better in the water I got a fish? a strike? I got something? just tiny nibbles very careful now! I think I have it Am I good at this or what? No it let go But it was definitly something there It did pull my rod tip like this
shall you wait or what? WOW! did you see that strike? My rod was nearly pulled away from me I don’t know anything now Now! YES! What is this? It’s so much fun – is it strong aswell?

but not that loose woow! so sick I got cramp in my arm it pushes so hard My pulse is so high aswell I got cramp for real
the lactid acid is burning either I’m weak or the fish is strong
I don’t know It’s a bit bigger than the last one I’m ready Edvin It’s Rally come one, give up take it – yes

I need to step up I’ll steal some of his blue dough
over there But it’s a nice Rainbow trout he caught They get bigger It start to look like…. feisty a feisty rainbow trout he’ll swim back home It’s so nice When they swim back in this nice water It’s galant, Team Galant It seems like the blue dough for some
reason works well in this lake I wont be stupid and not change to
the blue myself don’t touch my powerbait dough Tobbe!
It’s my blue dough I choosed the blue and you
garlic orange I’m nice today, you can have some
dough No dough in your bank account if you
keep on being so mean – I’ll sue you if you continue
– weel sue me then we’ll throw out this blue water drop again
where it belongs, in the water I feel like trying som spin fishing because they bite right now, I know how we
can do both at the same time you could almost think we are going
icefishing now with this bell but a bell like this is perfect to put on
the tip of the rod and you just hear it if, or when
the rainbow bites next time I’ll just attach it to the rod there it is and we will hear it when the fish bites Now it’s time to rig up the
spin fishing gear Berkley powerbait do not only have
that dough that we used They also have some powerbait jigs small jig with a very strong scent It will be really fun to try them out I think I start with this one
9 cm in black and yellow with some garlic taste I need to prove that it wasn’t what made
him not catch ny fishes Look at this, looks super hot a really nice jig I’ll rig it up with a regular jig head
in 3,5 g a very light jighead because it’s not
that deep here and then fish it just below the surface I have always had good fishing on
bright colors before I’ll try this pupa, bright green
and yellow I’ll use a rod called Volt
from Golden Catch It has a soft tip as a banana
and is 2-12 g You want a soft rod when you fish for
rainbow trout And then I have a nice reel from Abu
a Zenon and then a super thin braided line from stroft When you fish with lures this small you need to be able to cast far with too thick line you can’t cast so
far and you wont catch anything Now it’ll be interesting to see if
this will outfish the bottom angle This will be really fun to try Let’s see how it swims It’s hot Tobbe like a small worm just cast it out and retrieve it pretty
close to the surface It would be nice if we could catch
anything on spin fishing aswell To feel the hard strikes I wait with patience for that I think it’s a good idea to cover a lot
of water to fish new spots all the time and find the active fishes Yes! Fish! FISH! I got one on the jig I got it This was so much fun really fun – Is it big Edvin?

in the mud nothing unusual spin fishing is so much fun oh damn, Tobbe fell into the mud YES! it wasn’t me It was you you fell you’re soaking wet good thing I haven’t got any socks on only rubber boots I didn’t see the hole I got all the fish, you fall in the mud
something has happened It’s your day today Edvin I like the fact you keep on fishing It’s pretty nice weather so I cool off some, that was the idea I can’t get my boot off a good thing I was barefoot and that it’s warm and not cold I start to like this day Tobbe in the mud, not catching any fish like I use to do It has turned there! I got one! What a strike! – Edvin it’s quite nice

– Nice! It was quite big these are the strikes that makes you
love rainbow trout fishing It’s pretty fat aswell What a nice rainbow trout
a real powerful fish This This is life this one can go back and we just
continue this nice evening The spin fishing died out a little bit so we start bottom angel again It’s more static and the fish got more
time to bite and maybe we see a last strike period
with this last light of the day The dough ball shall be put to work again I’m excited for som angling after
that spin fishing It might be hot now I’ll form it like a blueberry There are a lot of blueberries all around
this lake not because the fish eat blueberries It must be some explanation to why they
want this blue, smelly dough maybe it smells like a rotten blueberry we’ll hope for a evening rainbow now a good cast while we sit here and wait for the rainbow
trouts to bite we can do as we said earlier

out there zig zag out there, I can’t get it to shore I pump it in a few meters and then it just

but we don’t know how big It wanted to go back So much fun with a double strike

best for rainbow trouts It’s probably not to long until we get

up his mouth There is a small risk that they swallow
The hook deep down and you might think you have to kill
the fish, but it’s not a must There is a tool in the kit from Berkley It’s a hookout, and I’ll show you how
it works You take this small slot, and thread the
line in it then just follow the line down Then you just push there we go It’s as easy as that the hook is here at this edge you just push and the hook is loose we’ll have a look at this nice rainbow It’s beautiful, just look at it It’s definitly the longest for today pretty light at the back this one will go back
let’s see if we can catch another one This jar is almost empty I hadn’t expected this good fishing
as we had today It was the smurf dough that gave
us this fishing – the blueberry dough
– Yeah the blueberry dough we’ve caught 15 rainbow trouts today It’s a new day tomorrow and we’ll have

a few more rainbow trouts you sleep well here in this cabin very close to the fishing, but there is
one downside to it Yeah it is, the blue magic dough is
almost gone we’ll go to the shop and get more dough – and shop some blueberry dough

we can catch one later We’ll try these nice sour dough baguettes
with pulled pork you can buy these at Hökensås August was late so he can eat like
mackerell in tomato sauce and rotten eggs from his fridge Sorry August

side of the lake we’ll walk over to the other side and

an let it dance under the surface fish it pretty fast, but not too fast just continue, not so many pauses I got one!, got one! big! shit! what a strike! Edvin and August walked away over there, they didn’t think I was gonna
catch anything here what an acrobatic fish How much luck can one guy have? You know when he catches one before us
you know it’s LT, Lucky Tobbe That’s what they get for going that way this is my revenge
for losing the one before this was a hard strike This is a really nice fish to eat This one I’m gonna take an eat
later on This worm really works great on this
spin fishing here look how easy it is to unhook there we go It will be really nice to put this on
the grill in a couple of hours I heard the masyter of luck,
LT Lucky Tobbe caught a fish he screamed like a little kid They come back here when they saw
me catch a fish Guys, I’ve fixed the grill fish for tonight a perfect size to put on the grill What do I hear? has someone got us

the chili mayo Oh damn! there? I’ve got the hang of it now slow starter but once I got the hang
of it they bite This isn’t a small one yeah, pretty nice one Edvin maybe should help me net it there! and it’s the middle of the day we’ll cook a rainbow trout now I’ve got the honour to clean it out we’ll put it in a tin foil, with a lot of
yummy thinfgs in it I’ll show you quick how I clean it out I’ll just clean it out I’ll cut up the belly a small insicion,
not to far in to the back these intestines
we’ll not throw in the lake we throw them far far out in the forest not great with all this in the lakes we got some black gunk here
you want to remove but we’ll keep the head looks good and might give som extra taste just rinse it I’m here with all the ingredients some leek, basil, parlsey, potatoes
and some cream cheese I mixed it all together But I haven’t got any fish
can anyone help me? nice August, freshly clean out fish? – here your go
– NO not yet we’ll season it first
then on the grill You’re that hungry? can’t wait? we’ve seasoned the fish let’s put it on the grill for some
nice crispy surface on it before we put it in a tin foil package It looks a bit empty stomach I’ll fill it up with these vegetables Here’s a package for you Edvin Ooh a rainbow package for me we’ll put it o the grill with the potatoes
in the tin foil package It will stay on the grill for like 15 mins then we’re ready to eat It almost looks like Tobbe and Edvin
knows what they are doing But I haven’t seen a single
carrot slice we’ll see if it really is tasty all the tin foil packages are ready Now we only need Magic Tobbe to
make it appear on plates look how nice this rainbow trout looks August you could be the first one
to try it out It actually looks like a rainbow we’ll see, I try a little piece some cream or something mmmm It was really tasty It was pig some rainbow trout and potatoes, let’s see mm mmmmh really nice flavours thumbs up super tasty couldn’t be better good company, good fishing
and great food rainbow trout was really underestimated both catch and eat
we’ll do this again for sure It was definitly worth traveling these
95km for a day of fishing I almost regret not being here yesterday It was really fun, I got 2 rainbow trouts
