Kai Trump is now driving, but not a cyber truck, please. The president’s oldest grandchild, gave a nod to the University of Miami Hurricanes, her future college and golf team, as she began her final year of high school in Florida. In the photos, Kai and her high school pals are shown posing next to their opulent vehicles, the majority of which had the word seniors written across the back window. Three pictures show Kai next to a Cadillac SUV that bears the distinctive emblem of the U, which is the colloquial moniker for the century old private university in Coral Gables, where she will be attending next year. In one clip, Kai is shown making the U hand sign. And in another, she is pictured with her mother, Vanessa K. a pergolitzy and the vehicle’s rear is marked 2026. Oddly enough, Kai doesn’t seem to be using the Cybert truck her grandfather gave her before he got into a fight with Tesla CEO Elon Musk. In a number of recent social media videos, the car she posted a picture of herself driving on Instagram in October of last year has inexplicably been replaced with a new Escalade. Kai, who has played golf since he was 2 years old, committed to the Hurricanes in April 2024 before leading Palm Beach Gardens Benjamin School to a district championship the previous season. She was ranked 530th by the American Junior Golf Association as of June 26th. She achieved even more success on social media as on three.com ranks her 81st out of all high school and collegiate athletes in terms of nil valuations. Kai will now join a Hurricanes program that has produced one national player of the year, Tracy Kurdik, 1988, and five national titles, but none since 1984. Additionally, she will get the opportunity to play at the renowned Builtmore Miami’s home course, which is open to the public for $200 for 18 holes. Kai, whose grandfather owns courses on both sides of the Atlantic with current developments in Oman and Vietnam, may not find it particularly exciting. And in an ACC that is extremely competitive and home to prestigious institutions like Stanford, Florida State, and Virginia, that familiarity on a range of difficult courses could be helpful.
