Cleveland ain’t forged either, nor are the mizuno I don’t think or the Opus – taylormade is maybe the unicorn ?
Clubs are fab not forged so can’t wait to play the forged ones.
I use my 48 degree approach wedge for all my close game shots (except I do use a sand wedge for sand and flop shots)that is part of the callaway ai200 set and has tons of built in forgiveness that those blade Vokey and Taylormade wedges don’t have. Those are blades and meant for Pros or people that play/practice 4+ hours every day. I think it is very misleading to average golfers to reasonably expect to use the ‘blade’ clubs effectively when they use cavity back forgiving irons. Makes no sense except from a marketing standpoint which is geared to make money. If you are trying to help average golfers (who pays for the golf industry) then this is a point never talked about.
Rust dulls sharp edges and fills grooves so the wedge can't channel away dirt and moisture as well. Test after test after test proves rust lessens spin. The brand new MG wedges work fantastic. But the rusty face is a hard stop for me. My money went elsewhere. And I don't understand why anyone would want their clubs to look like garbage.

My Wife & I stayed at Treganna Hotel a number of years ago, beautiful on the outside but your regular working man’s club on the inside! – but the views from wee par3 down the hill must rival any in golf!(?)
Mizuno wedges (T24/T1) are the best and most underrated in my humble opinion, they’ve been forged for a number of design iterations now…
Rusted faces have no effect on spin….a wet face adds spin not reduce spin

Nowwhere near the biggest name in golf. Check out Callaway and Acushnet's quarter 1 numbers. They make Taylormade made look like a DTC company!
Can I stand up for the Marshall. He was right. Hitting more than one shot per hole isn't really right. I would love Marshalls to challenge players on my course where all the members know people just walk on and play without paying. Next time just ask and I'm sure they would love to have you film there.

Raw faces don't spin more when they rust, BUT they do spin more initially since they don't have a coating to "blunt" the grooves.

Tbh mizuno have been doing this for years .. but they are always overlooked
Are all forged the same? Wilson, Mizuno, Bettinardi also are forged. Probably others. Be interesting to see how those all compare. All different price points.

The problem with the rust is U can take weeks to get it then asoon as u get in a bunker the sand cleans the face 😂
Cringe golf police. Obviously, if you’re holding up a group behind you, it’s a different story. Being the only person there and being told “it’s one round of golf, not five or six” is crazy.

Hi James what a great video 👍, great look at the T/M Forged Wedges, I have a T/M 56deg TW MG3 grind love it great flight control, Feel, spin control around the greens 😁, the only thing I don’t like about it is the Raw Face🥶, have to clean & dry after each round to to keep it perfect, love the CNC Milled Sole with the pre worn front edge “Perfect” Thanks Dickey 8hcp 78year senior golfer (keep making the Wedge Videos) I was impressed how you kept your cool with the Jobs Worth security guard 🥵

Rusty faces… not for me 😩
It’s now been proven that rusting actually reduces spin, it does not increase spin. That combined with the idea that all wedges have blasted faces, this is just another TM gimmick, what I don’t understand is why they do stupid things like that, they have great products that don’t require these idiotic features.
