It's criminal this wasnt the Olympics Final. It was a gruelling 3-set match which took its toll on LCW. The very next day he had to fight Chen Long who was younger and had an easier game in the other semi.
Based on my observations of Lin Dan's matches, it's clear that aside from major tournaments like the Olympics, the Thomas Cup, or matches against Lee Chong Wei, he often plays just to earn points, showing less concern about winning or losing in other competitions. This explains why he sometimes loses to lower-ranked or less skilled players; he doesn't seem to take those matches as seriously. However, when he faces Lee Chong Wei, you can see his top speed and reactions, reflecting his full seriousness in those encounters. 😂😂

How heartbreaking can it be for LCW, who faced LD twice in the previous two Olympic Finals, lost both of them, and now he defeated him in the SF just to lose another final to another Chinese player Chen Long
You guys know how burdens it is to face someone like lindan level twice?. At lcw time malaysia have only one super good single player, the second single is not even a quater of lcw level. First face lindan, then chen long who is already as good as lin dan at that time. The pressure must be unimaginable and of course the energy that you need to face china 2 best single player in history is surely gonna take more than what you already have.
2012 Olympics Final was better…They were too old in 2016…Lin Dan's smashes are ordinary in 2016…Even LCW has slowed down…He wasn't quick like he used to be
