Phil Mickelson has enjoyed a stunning golf career, with his efforts on the greens having often played a crucial role in his success.
Mickelson is a six-time major winner, and needs success at only the US Open to complete the career grand slam.
Should the American finally get over the line, he would join the exclusive club of Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
For now, however, his focus is on LIV Golf, with Mickelson all set for the season finale this week at LIV Golf Indianapolis.
But the legendary figure has also been keeping up appearances on his social media side hustle, which has involved link-ups with the likes of John Daly and Grant Horvat.

His latest endeavour involved a discussion with Andrew Santino at JCB Golf & Country Club, in which Mickelson shared a really useful tip to prevent three putting on the green.
Offering a demonstration, he said on No Bad Lies: “I do a 40, 50, 60 lag drill every week that I play because if we are looking at a 60 foot putt, I know that if I take it back to this certain point and accelerate at a normal rate, that is 60 feet.

“I am not even really looking at the putt per se, I just know from all the practice and doing this professionally you have to practice this a lot. I just know that if I go back to a certain point and hit it, that is going to be roughly 60 feet.
“So I have not practiced that today, but it’s the one thing I felt most comfortable with as I have built a reference every single week on what that feels like. I just go back to a certain point and accelerate and I know that goes 60 feet.”
Where does Phil Mickelson rank for putting average on LIV Golf?
Mickelson certainly knows what he’s talking about in and around the greens, as proven by his efforts on LIV Golf this season.
The HyFlyers GC captain has yet to win a title in 2025, but he is only just behind a small group of players when it comes to putting average.

He now has one final chance to improve upon his position of 22nd in the individual standings, with his HyFlyers side currently 10th in the team standings.
The Club at Chatham Hills hosts LIV Golf Indianapolis, with the season then concluding at the Team Championship in Michigan later this month.
