She is named after Danish jazz musician Kai Ewans, who is her great-grandfather. She’s one of five siblings.

Kai is the eldest grandchild of the current United States president, Donald Trump. Her father is Donald Trump Jr. Kai lives in Jupiter, Florida, with her mother, Vanessa Trump. Her parents are split, but her father lives nearby.

With golf playing a big part in her family, Kai took up the game as a youngster and showed plenty of promise. She’s continued to progress and has played in several State tournaments, winning the 2024 Ladies Club Championship at Trump International Palm Beach.

Currently in high school, she has committed to playing for the University of Miami after her graduation in May 2026.

Kai goes to Benjamin School in Florida, where Tiger Woods’ two children, Sam and Charlie, also attend.
Kai and Charlie are classmates and recently played in the 41st Nicklaus Junior Championship, named after the legendary Jack Nicklaus. Charlie finished on even par to finish sixth out of 122 in the boys event, while Kai was 19th out of 32 in the girls tournament after finishing 17-over.
But the connection to Tiger Woods goes beyond him being Dad to her friend.
