When Rory Met the Cactus… Twice✌️
Rory Mroy versus the cactus. He got in there healthy. Going to get out. It’s a par four and Rory Mroy steps up to the tea, but his drive unexpectedly slices hard to the right. When Rory arrives at the landing spot, he’s in disbelief. His ball has ended up right in the middle of a cactus patch. It’s not exactly the friendliest place to hit from. One wrong move and those spines could do some damage. Carefully weaving his way through, Rory manages to retrieve his bomb. But with no real shot available, he’s forced to take a penalty and hit his third. Unfortunately, that wouldn’t be his only cactus encounter of the day. On the par five, 13th hole, another T-OT drifts right, dangerously right. It rolls off the fairway and cozies up right next to another cactus. This time though, Rory catches a break. He’s got a swing. No penalty needed. Looks like the desert wasn’t ready to give him up that easily.
