    Reporter after asking that question.

What a fantastic answer. Prison really hardened this dude up (pause)

Scottie shortly after: “Now watch this drive”

The guy is a machine, of course he wants to be focused on the task at hand. And doesn’t hurt that first place is $3.6 million.

I feel like any serious r/golf visitor could replace these reporters and ask questions that the players would actually enjoy answering.

Rory or Morikawa would probably get skewered for this same answer, but he is right. Have to focus on the week, and then the tour championship after that.

Some of these journalists are so stupid and annoying.

Glad Scottie put him back in his place.

    Scottie “Bill Belichick” Scheffler

    We’re on to Baltimore

Reporters asking completely irrelevant questions? No way

He better be careful or they’ll arrest him

  12. jerseyboy24601

I’m not even sure what a reporter would do with an answer to that question? Can’t imagine there writing a story on Bethpage this week.

Scottie getting praise for saying this

If Rory said it, he’s a whiny bitch

  14. ClearConversation921

Scottie’s not ready? Oh, the horror 😩

  15. plaverty9

This is like Scottie walking away from Gary’s question in Happy Gilmore 2.

  16. Adventurous_Sand_564

Scottie still pissed about last week obviously. The guy has insane hunger to win every fucking time he plays

  17. Relevant_Fold_3029

They ask these dudes the same questions week after week. Definity don’t blame Scheffler for the response.

  18. BullPropaganda

Scottie Scheffler : ” I’m too old for this shit “

  19. kakapoopoopeepeeshir

Nick Saban is coaching Scottie on press conferences now

I love answering questions about the Ryder Cup but if you ask me another question about the Ryder Cup I’m going to rip your throat out.

Athletes used to play to the media and fans and be more than willing to hype up something a whole 5 weeks out, made them feel special, constantly focused. Now the show part is over and the top ones (rich enough and beyond repercussions, fine) just tell us what’s on their mind. ala scottie’s monologue about non-fulfilling, winning is fun for two minutes, whats the point, yada yada. You pumped for next week? there’s millions psyched to watch your every movement. same shit different day man. oh. cool.

honestly i know scottie’s a human, i’m not a dumbass. and i don’t attach my identity/worth to a sport/team/participant. some do unfortunately, and a LOT do just for an escape from doll drums. would it bother you to indulge psyched golf fans for two minutes and not give me stuff my therapist can tell me about how nothing matters? thanks in advance

Not a ridiculous question. Those Flyers fans coming in are brutal and will boo him and the whole team if we F this up.
