So, if you’re a golfer looking for extra distance off the tea, the Homer golf ball could be the best choice for you. And in today’s video, I’m going to compare it to another amazing distance golf ball. This is the Tailor-Made Distance Plus golf ball. We’re going to talk about all the features and the specs. And with the help of Jeff, my cutting tool, we’re going to cut both these golf balls open to see exactly what’s in the middle and whether it will help your game. Let’s get into it. So, when we take a close-up look at this Hummer D1 golf ball, first of all, I think the color’s amazing. Not only does it match Jeff perfectly, but it’s actually really bright. So, if you struggle to keep your eye on the golf ball, whether you’re like me getting a bit older and your eyesight’s fading, or you just like to stand out on a course and be a little bit different, I think Hmer golf balls are great. They’ve got a real range of different colors. Now, this is the distance golf ball from Homer, and that’s where the name D1 comes from. It’s a top choice. It’s got low spin, and it gives a firm feel, which they say promotes maximum yardage yardage off the tea. Now, the D1 has got an oversized core. When we cut it open with Jeff, we’ll see what that oversized core looks like. But again, Honda say it’s designed for maximum compression and rebound. Now, rebound sounds great off my driver. So, if that helps me get a bit of extra distance, then that’s perfect. It’s got 368 dimples, designed for high handicappers, and it’s got a two-piece construction with an iron cover. Now, that low spin rate that it generates, they say can help reduce slices and hooks, which is always a good thing. But how does that compare to the Tailor Made Distance Plus? Now, I’ve reviewed this golf ball recently. And this is the upgrade where it’s got a different alignment aid to help you putting on the side. I think Palmer could probably do a little bit better with theirs, but if you like the the alignment aid, then this is probably a really good choice for you. Now, the Tailor made distance has got a 72 compression. It’s again a two-piece IMA golf ball, and it offers high velocity performance, and it gives you extra distance, they say, on all shots, not just your driver. Now, what would be really interesting is they’ve all got names for the middle of their golf ball. We’ve got the Homar with its oversized core and then we’ve got the Tailor Made with its React Speed Core. So, I think that’s probably a good point to have a little look inside with the help of Jeff and cut both these golf balls open. So, I think I’m going to start with the Tailor-Made Distance Plus golf ball to see exactly what it looks like inside. So, there you go. As you can see, yes, it’s a two-piece golf ball. It’s got a very thick outer layer, which is generally pretty good for um durability. And you know how much I like the color of the inside of the golf ball. That’s a really nice blue. So, this is the React Speed Core that I talked about. And Taylor made is designed to maximize your ball speed. So, I think that’s pretty cool if it helps you hit the ball a bit further. But, how’s that going to compare to the Honda D1 when we put it side by side on the inside? Let’s get Jeff and see what’s inside this one. Right. Okay. Well, I know it’s not scientific and you tell me that all the time, but it’s really soft in the middle of this golf ball. So, this is the oversized core. Now, when we put them side by side, do we think it looks oversized? I probably should have brought my uh tape measure, but that’s a close-up look. Let’s see. So again, we’ve got a thick outer layer which is designed for durability and that oversized core designed for maximum compression and rebound. It looks pretty standard to me. As we put them side by side, you can certainly see that the cores are different on these golf balls, and I think the tailor made outer layer is thicker than the Hummer golf ball. So there you go. There’s two golf balls designed to give you extra distance off the tea. Which one would you choose and why? Let me know in the comments below and I’ll catch you in the next

Which ball would you choose? 🤔🏌️♂️
The TaylorMade Distance+ is not good at all? The TP5X goes about 20 yards further than both of these balls and so does the Titlelist PROV1. The Distance Plus is OK for a cheaper ball but not great!
I‘ve choosen the distance+ over the hex soft from callaway. Felt better.
But after watching your vids I think I change to a softer ball hoping to receive more distance as a non sporty beginner 😂
The Taylormade, just seems the finish looks better quality for some reason? the inner core looks more premium. 😊
