Jeff Bezos’ soon-to-be step-son will be college classmates with Kai Trump, a proud Lauren Sanchez has revealed.
Lauren, 54, who is gearing up to marry the billionaire Amazon founder, took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday to share the exciting news that her son Evan Whitesell, 18, would be heading to the University of Miami.
She gushed over how ‘proud’ she was of the teenager for joining the school, which is where Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai is set to attend.
Lauren re-shared a post uploaded by an Instagram account called Xrdscollegedecisions which said, ‘Evan Whitesell. Business, University of Miami.’
‘My heart is bursting. Beyond proud of you,’ she captioned it. ‘Love you.’
Lauren – who shares son Evan with her ex-husband Patrick Whitesell – previously revealed that Evan had been diagnosed with dyslexia.
During an appearance on Good Morning America back in September, the former journalist explained that she had struggled with undiagnosed dyslexia during much of her own childhood.
While promoting her new children’s book, The Fly Who Flew to Space, she added that her son had the same learning disorder, which causes problems with reading and writing.

‘This book is for my eight-year-old self who really felt “dumb,”‘ she said. ‘And I did, I sat in the back of the class, I was quiet and they pushed me along in public school.

‘I really, really wanted to be a journalist, it’s all I wanted to be, and I thought, I can’t write, it was horrible.’
‘My son said I could talk about it [now that he’s 18], he has dyslexia, diagnosed in second grade,’ added Lauren.
Back in August, Kai, 17, who is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa, announced that she had committed to play golf at the University of Miami.
She is currently a junior at the Benjamin School, a prestigious $37,000-per-year high school.
‘I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Miami,’ she wrote at the time.
‘I would like to thank my mom, Vanessa, and my dad, Don, for always supporting me through my journey.
‘I would also like to thank my great team for getting me to this point. I would like to thank my Grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support.’

Kai also shouted out her ‘entire family’ for ‘always encouraging and pushing her to be the best person she could possibly be.’
The teen has long shared her grandfather’s passion for golf and has been tipped to become the most accomplished golfer of the Trump dynasty.
She has won the ladies club championship at her grandfather’s golf course in Palm Beach, Florida, and has played with some of the biggest stars in the game.
But she recently suffered a minor health setback, which she revealed before playing nine holes at her grandfather’s course in Jupiter in a video shared to her YouTube channel last week.
Asked what she wanted to shoot on the par-36 front nine, she shared that she wasn’t quite 100 percent physically.
‘I’m feeling a little rusty. I kinda sprained my ankle three days ago,’ she said. ‘I was playing flag football with my friends.’
Kai went on to explain that she suffered the minor injury after landing awkwardly on her ankle after making a catch.
Nonetheless, she seemed to brush off any pain she was dealing with as she shot a 38 – exactly the score she had hoped for before taking the course.
