Nice picture of the golf ball. Normally Barry go and spin back. Absolutely. That’s what he does so well. Super compact swing controls flight distance. Coming towards the end of his day’s work. Marco Penge. What a way to finish. That is a stunning finish. He has made five birdies in the last six holes. Whoa. What a run to get to one under part. What an awkward putt this is up the back edge of this green down and away breaking off the right with a wind tailing behind you. Goodness me. That is unbelievable what I just seen there. back on the tea in a minute. That’s unbelievable. I know it’s fast and downhill, but this is unbelievable. That’s the very silent walk down there. Just a kind of right edge putt this one just outside it. Maybe wind will affect this putt. No doubt about it. Yeah, well hold well judged from Smith. So he moves to within one of Aken and Sterny at the top. Alex Fitzpatrick go nearly an eagle too. Be an easy birdie. Smith playing a little chip and run here. Pitching into the bank. Played it beautifully. Robinson Thompson up at seven. He’s got a good touch, hasn’t he? He is a good touch around the greens. He’s just going to He’s looking at the big steep bank in front of him. Anyone’s guess what it’s going to do when it reacts and hits into it, but he’s really getting up. Oh, what a golf shot. What a golf shot. That’s a 10 out of 10. This is just inside right for Smith. Good pace. Good pace, good stroke. Gets him right up there and a very good result as well. That is just so under control. Smith to move clear. Oh, Richard Sterney. Yeah, this is exceptional golf now from Jordan Smith. Now Todd Clemens for a birdie here at the sixth hole. Has he hit it? He has and he’s made it excellent. Two under through the first six as well. Now Aken is just outside that sort of zone where he’s looked a little uncomfy. So maybe something bright to finish. Oh yes, there you go. [Applause] Forest from 157 yards here at the eighth. His second shot. That’s very good chance there to move to. Yeah, excellent, wasn’t it? Yeah, nicely done Jordan Smith back on the birdie trail. So he returns to six under pop. Forest. Hello. Oh, quickly to Todd Clemens. Is it going to make it? It is, you know. And that’s a birdie for him at 10. Like Grant Forest, he’s putting together a very good round of golf. That was nice. Brown makes that one. So, he gets to two over par. He’s given himself a little bit of uh well, he’s not giving himself wrigle room because he’s got a lot of holes to go, but there you go. I think you can tell that he hasn’t hold too many putts out there today. It’s Justin Harding. Yeah, good to see Justin playing well again. It’s been a lean spell for him. That’s well done. Yeah, one foot in, one foot out. And got to get up pretty sharp. It’s going to come out flat as well. And it’s all down away to the flag. Got to be careful not to hit the lip on the way down. That is superb. That is absolutely touch of the day there. Not too much break in this. He could actually go firm right half here. And he does. That’s a nice birdie. Here is Grant Forest. He’s got a chance at 10. He is 113th on the race to Dubai rankings. Well, how about that? That’ll help matters, won’t it? Yos L. That’s unbelievable. That are you kidding me? That’s Brandon Robertson Thompson, but he is not. He’s not a left-hander. He’s not a left-hander. And that’s the little nudge out with the toe of the club because he couldn’t stand the other way and stay there. I’d say pretty clever shot. And he take advantage not if he doesn’t get it to the hole. My goodness me. He got the line to perfection. Oh, fabulous. How about that? That’s up and down of the day. Can’t be beaten. Nudge it down there. Tap it. And he knows how good that is. Look at the swagger. He’s swagging. Oh yes. Nicely held. That’s the view from the Ford T at the 14th. No, hang on. This is not looking good. This is not going to be pretty. Oh, what a break. What a break. Maybe it’s my week. Oh, not back on the fairway. Yes, he has back on the fairway. That can be almost lost ball. It can certainly be unplayable. Lovely second from Richard Sterny into nine. Good chance to get back where he started the day. and Sterling within one of the lead. This is exactly what Smith needs right here. Here’s a nice save. And he does as well. Yes. Well done. Good up and down. Now, winner of the Australian PGA Championship, Elvis Smiley, the young Aussie lefty. Thank you very much. That’ll do nicely at 13. Easy to spin it off the front or knock it long. Don’t spin. Don’t spin. Don’t spin. Don’t spin. He’s done well. Took the spin off it. Really good shot. Oh, look at that. That’s a beauty. Oh, now, well, we said he’s had several chances to extend the lead. Well, he’s been caught by Jordan Smith, but he may well just snatch it back again. Has he? Oh, what a finish. What a day. Backto back rounds of 69 for Jordan Smith. Super T-shot. It is a birdie for Grant Forest. So he moves it to seven under par. He is one ahead of Jordan Smith. 13th green northwolf for birdie. He’s at plus seven. He needs a few coming in. Randy come. That’s one of them back to plus six. Couple more birdies would do him. Coming home. Now he has that one shot lead. Obviously a birdie is going to extend that. Also importantly extend the course record as well. Good sound. Well, it’s a great shot. was a great golf shot that would cap off a stunning day for Grant Forest and with it very possibly a $10,000 bonus just a little right to left just a hair. That’s a shame. It is still going to be a news course record because he shot six under in the end. 66 for Forest, which is one better than Richard Stern went yesterday. Yeah, he would have seen Colart’s putt down the hill there move right to left. So that was just a probably his worst stroke of the day in all honesty, which is a shame on the 18th, but a brilliant day. Brilliant round. Grant a six under 66 today and a new course record to boot. That’s a pretty good day’s work, isn’t it? Yeah, it was. You know, it was tough again today. like the wind was up and um I just I played brilliant to be honest. I gave myself like loads of really good chances and um yeah that that was it. I just controlled my ball really well and um rol rolled a couple of putts in and and left a couple out there. But that was yeah all in all great day. Where does that stand for you in terms of career best rounds in these conditions? Um it’s probably second to my third round at at the Fairmont when I won. And I shot 10 under there on a day that, you know, it was, you know, didn’t start, it probably started as windy as it was today and then got even windier. So that was that was a bit special that day. But um no, this is definitely up there. Yeah. How good does it feel as a golfer to be able to come off the course and say I I played brilliantly like you just did. Yeah. you know, you you don’t um you know, you don’t you don’t get too many of those days where you know, things just really happen for you. And you know, this this season’s not it’s been a bit of a struggle um for the most part. So, you know, to just play play some really good golf is is really encouraging. Tie for 22nd at the Scottish though, so form is trending in the right direction. What have you been doing since then? Just at home in North Barrack playing links golf because it looks like it pretty much. Yeah. Yeah. had three weeks at home. So, yeah, just spending time with uh with the wife and and uh our eight-month-old. So, just soaking all that up, it’s been amazing. And that’s put you in this fresh frame of mind to go out there and play like this. Yeah, just you know, I feel felt quite relaxed coming into this week and um you know, I’m quite comfortable in these conditions and um yeah, just just happy with the with the way the sort of game’s going. Brilliant. Eddie, one under par. How would you assess your second round out there? Pretty good really. It was tough from the get-go. It’s really cold this morning and windy. Um, yeah, just played 36 holes in just some tough conditions and uh and yeah, I I didn’t I didn’t off to a very good start yesterday and was pretty frustrated and thinking about home and um broke a club. So, I need to thank David Law actually because I borrowed his gap wedge this morning which saw me through. Was a crucial club out there. So, I hope that’s not breaking the rules. I don’t think it is. But um yeah, no, it was it was an all right day and difficult conditions out there. What was your mindset heading into the second round just to just to probably get off to a good start? I think it was one of those rounds where if you if you didn’t get off to a good start, you could easily have been three or four over early doors and then you’re just right up against it. Whereas I actually played the first four holes really well, was level half of them, but hit a lot of good shots. So felt like I saw off probably the toughest part of the course today with a lot of good golf. And then yeah, I I made a couple of three putts for bogeies off poor iron shots. Um but I hit a lot of greens. I think I only missed one green, so there’s clearly some good stuff in there. And um yeah, just try to keep my head down. And you spoke about your form in recent weeks. What can a round like today do for your confidence? I I I don’t know. I think it’s a great leveler for me at the moment, like 16 today. I kind of fatted a driver, but it’s in the fairway and I can get away with it. Um, I’ve always thought Lynx golf and windy golf is just a leveler for me and uh, everyone gets worse while I kind of just stay at my level and I feel like that’s definitely happened this two these two days. Uh, and I think it used to happen even when I was playing really well. I was a great lynx player but for me my game didn’t change a lot in windy links conditions as to week on week whereas I think for a lot of other guys they found they had to make some significant changes. So, I’ve always found that, as I say, it’s a leveling factor. And I I don’t think I’ve played that well really, but I’ve just kept kept it straight, kept doing what I’ve been doing. And and as I say, it’s just a much tougher week for for everyone else. Grant Forest not thinking about too much. And he’s gone about his business very well out there today. That 66 gives him a one-shot lead over Jordan Smith. Richard Stern has holes left. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. And to subscribe, click here.

  1. Love Eddie Pepperell..tied 10th at -1 and number 1 in GIR…but snapped a GW and everyone else has dropped to his level…Oh EP, TTJ on the bag, moving day tomorrow!

  2. Has anyone ever asked these tour pros why, after they take off their hat before shaking hands with their playing competitor (eg. Penge), they feel compelled to run their fingers through their sweaty hair??? 🤮

  3. I'm only watching this because it's at Trump International! I hope I can play there one day. The haters can go eat a D

  4. I’m 52 hoping to end the rat race by 60 with above $1M. I know money is a liability to be exchanged for assets with real value like real estate (properties for rent) stocks (dividends) bonds (interest) But, what is it with bitcoin? I hear a lot about it and I'd love to diversify my portfolio.

  5. Sorry, but morally I cant support anything that is associated with a sexual predator, convicted felon, conman and fascist POS.

  6. I’m appalled to see a DP World Tour tournament played on a Trump golf course whether it’s a top course or not. If you’re happy giving money to a man that is helping genocide in Palestine & a convicted rapist & now seems like a he is an Epstein pedo client with dozens of women claiming sexual abuse by Trump. Just shows very bad business to me & I hope you pay the price for it.
