Just a few days ago, I bought a fake titless driver from the website Teeu. Now, I have to say I’m not happy about this whatsoever. And I actually feel quite bad because this Titleist TSR3 is a fantastic, phenomenal driver and always has been and always will be. But this actually performed incredibly well for the price. And there was one comment in that video that kept popping up and I totally disagree with it and it infuriates me, but we’re going to do it. We’re going to put this Titalist tensai shaft in the Teeu Titalist fake driver head. Now say what you want. A lot of people say it doesn’t say Titist on it, so it’s not fake. In my opinion, that is trying to be the soul of a titlist driver to catch you guys out and spend your money on that website. Now, first of all, let’s hit a couple of drives with this tightless driver, with this shaft in. And I should have done this in the video, and I hold my hands up. I should have done, but guys, if you want to see more tests like this, more comparisons like this, if you’re wondering why my eyes are watering, something’s just gone up my nose, but I’ve had it. Anyway, right, first off, titleist TSR3 with the Tensai shaft in this driver. Now, I’ve taken numbers for this as well, so make sure you do stay tuned for that. But initially, straight away, a lovely powerful drive just up the left hand side. That’s going to be a long way up there. Now, you can see already that that wasn’t the desired ball flight I wanted. It was a bit low. It was a bit left, but it’s going to do well for distance. Now, if we hit this, this is the Teimu premium shaft. It doesn’t even really know where it was made because if we have a look at that materials by made in Japan or on Japan, stiff flex. Where was it made? Where was it made? Right now, the shaft isn’t as good. I did find that I was hitting more shots a bit like that one I just hit there. And I was blaming the shaft. Obviously that shot there I’ve just hit, we’re blaming the golf, we’re blaming the swing. I did like how this performed and on the simulator you can see how well we got some results and that’s one of them. Now for a driver from Teeu, we’ve done quite a lot of testing today on this specific hole. That’s a long way up there and that’s done incredibly well. Now, yes, we are going to talk the ins and outs of this. And to be honest, I should have checked this already. Is that going to fit, Bob? You’d hope so. You’d hope so. That for me is one of the big tells that they’re trying to make it like a titless driver. It’s got the same adapter. It’s got the same font and the same text. So, without any further ado, now when we first hit this driver, there was a bit of a rattle in it, wasn’t there? That’s the same. It’s exactly the same. I’m quite excited by this. Now, my argument for this and the reason why I didn’t do it in the video is if I buy a driver from Teeu, I’m buying that driver. I can’t stipulate what shaft apart from the shaft flex goes in that driver. But it fits. It fits. Does it screw in? Does the head fly off? If I was to buy this driver with a 10 size shaft in like this one, 55 gram extra stiff, this is the shaft I actually got fitted for in the titleless driver. Now, funnily enough, that’s on A1. If I like it’s not an option. So now if this performs incredibly well, it was the winner here, Bob. Who is the winner? Team Tim Teim. Who’s the winner? Bob says, and I I do feel bad testing things like this, but I also don’t feel bad because I don’t want people to have to spend five, six, 700 on drivers like this. I just don’t think it’s necessary. So now, if this goes 10 yards past, cuz that was a good shot, wasn’t it, with this one. Let’s just put the same swing on it and see what happens with this. Oh, it’s very similar. It’s up the left side. That That didn’t feel right though. Let’s go. You know what? Has that gone further? I think it has. Let’s go up there. Let’s see where they finished and let’s continue this test because something didn’t feel right there. Maybe don’t stand directly behind me, Bob. Here is the titleless drive with obviously the 10 size shaft in it. There are the two timu drivers. The one that’s on the left is more central as you can tell. And that’s gone a lot further, well 10 yards further than the t-u driver with the timu shaft in. Now I am going to put this drive down to just being a bad driver. It was a bad shot. I know the titleless driver is a fantastic driver, especially with that tensai shaft in. But if I’m this inconsistent, would you spend them? Like I’m trying to put yourselves in my head here and vice versa. How consistent do you have to be to warrant spending that amount of money? Especially in today’s economic climate where economic climate, not economic. Have you got the Bob? I’ve got the ick for just saying that. Right. You know what I’m trying to say. Let’s move on. You know, I feel terrible. I’ve put the Tyler head cover on it. That’s really bad, isn’t it? Would you spend the money on the Teimu driver or you look at the three drivers we have in this bag here? I’m going to do a video on these today. We’ve got the Kirkland which is like I think a fantastic driver for one of probably the most cheapest prices for a new driver you’re going to get. We have the new Tacoma which again fantastic performing driver, good price, seems to perform well, sounds better than the old one. And we’ve got the vice driver which again fantastic for the price. This is the more affordable one at kind of £245. We know that they’re conforming. We know they’re on the RNA conforming list. One of the things I brought up in the original video was this isn’t. A lot of people don’t care about that. And to be honest, I find that refreshing and I’m I’m all over that. I just think if you are just playing recreational golf and you’re not competing, you’re not playing for reward, just play golf. Just enjoy yourself. If there’s a club out there that can enhance your enjoyment of this game that we all love and all strive to be better at, use it by all means. Just be just do what Bob does. Cheat. It’s true. Do you reckon straight over the corner, Bob? I don’t know why you cheat. Oh my god. Two. So annoying. Two time club champ. Straight down the trouser leg. That’s a lovely high one down that right side. Ideally here, we want one that just turns a little bit more. It did feel good with the shaft though. Like I must admit, it felt more stable. I was probably thinking about trying to release that more than it had to or more than I needed to. See if we can send it over. It’s It’s drastically changed how this driver feels. There we go. Did it Did it hit you? Sorry. I mean, you’ve properly taken away from how good that drive was there in fairness with the little scream of pain. I really enjoyed that as a shot. I thought that was fantastic. still wasn’t the I feel like actually that the naf shaft it came with the naf shaft was easier to like lag down and just release this obviously you’ve got to work properly got to put proper golf swing on this and it will perform better no doubt there that’s absolutely massive down there let’s get down and see where they’ve finished here’s one do you want to see the titleless driver with the team shafting. I think that’s the end of the video, isn’t it? Right there. Was it filming the other bit? Yeah. Are you sure? Are you sure? Right. First shot right hand rough. Not done bad for distance. Still quite a bit of a tricky shot into this par five, but the other two that were a better line. You can see the final ones in the fairway there. That held its line much better. And the middle shot is just down the right bit further down. I think they’re they’re pretty good to be honest for distance, for dispersion. We knew this wasn’t a great swing. It’s still in play. It’s still a chance. Not doing bad at all. Let’s finish this up with a bit of a long drive challenge on the next T. And we’re going to we’re going to move them around with with the shafts. Right. This feels like blasphemy. It is. But we will put the Titus head in the T-Mo shaft. Now, somebody’s obviously gone out and bought those Titalist adapters, haven’t they? Because it is the same. You can tell it’s it’s literally the same thing. And this is why some brands will stop you buying components, whereas Titalist I mean, they’re probably not made by Titalist. I bet someone just manufactured them, thinking about it logically. So, same length, you know, the more I look at them, but it’s so obvious, isn’t it? It’s the same club. I can’t say what I was going to say. Right. I’m going to go t-u first with proper shaft and then proper head with t-u shaft. And basically winner takes all. I mean there’s nothing to nothing to actually win but this is a ball number one and the other one is a number four tiger line up the right. That is so good, by the way. Look at that. That is up the right side of that fairway. Now, that’s a lot to beat. And I feel like the shaft there’s done its job. It is a tensile shaft. It’s a very premium component. I could launch in this head cuz the head I say the head’s got to be better, but looking at the actual video we did, it was like still pretty good. This shaft feels all over the place now after swinging that for a few holes. That felt ridiculous. It sounded good, didn’t it? Certainly more difficult to control any kind of trajectory with this shaft. But that head I think it’s actually could it be a conf would it be a conforming shaft? Be very difficult to be a non-conforming shaft, wouldn’t it? Let’s get up there and see because they felt like two good shots albeit two totally different ball flights. And I don’t know what the answer is here cuz I’m not really entirely sure on the question, but you guys wanted to see it. So here it is. So guys, I hope you enjoyed that comparison. If you did, tried to do that holes in both and it really doesn’t work. Smash that subscribe button below. Lots more videos like this to come where we’re just trying to unear some potential jewels in the roof and hidden gems and all those other cliches from the golfing world because I’m a believer you shouldn’t have to go and spend a ton of money to play good golf. And if you believe that as well, then make sure you throw a like on this video. I’m not sure what the outcome really means. I just think if you are in the market for something brand new, there are options out there for you. Whether or not that means this is the right one for you or not, there will be other videos coming that you might enjoy. Guys, thank you so much. We’ll see you again at the same time tomorrow. I’ll put this titleless shaft back in this titleless head. Um, I’m going to wash my hands and have a shower because I feel disgusting. See you. So, in order to properly put Titalist Teu shaft and driver gate to the test, we of course gathered some numbers using our Golfson wave launch monitor. Now, I tested every single iteration that these driver and driver shafts could be in. So, make sure you stay tuned to see exactly just what happened. Oh, stop it. I forgot how good this driver actually is, you know. We of course kicked things off with the Titus driver with its own titleist 10 size shaft in there. And no surprises here. It performed really really well. We had a couple of mis hits but it still performed quite well. We do know that that TSR generation of titless driver was a great performer and had some really long drives in it as you can see with that one there. Now obviously we are going to take averages from this test. But soon as I started to play around with these drivers and start to move the shafts over, one of the interesting things was just how well it fitted. So obviously it is exactly the perfect adapter for this Teimu driver. We put the Tentai shaft into that T-U driver head. And I was quite shocked actually with the first shot we hit, it seemed to perform pretty well. Are you seeing that? The more and more drives I hit with this trying to gather the numbers, the more and more I actually realized that it could perform and could gather some really, really good club data with this. One of the issues for me was when I was out on the golf course with this shaft, it didn’t feel as stable as what we were getting, of course, with that titleist 10 size shaft. Now, we were getting some good numbers. The ball speed seemed good. It was coming off the face nice and hot. But one of the big things I really wanted to test was just how it was going to perform of course in very interesting test that the grand scheme of things when it came to these driver heads and shafts. So I actually put the T-U shaft into the Titus head to see what would happen there. Now I’m going to say that was probably one of the most shocking things that I found because like I said the Titus head was fantastic and always does perform well in tests even against the brand new GT product. But this shaft did seem to, if you could get it right, even a draw, perform pretty well and give us a ball flight that I would like. Now, when it comes to the numbers, the numbers are going to be very interesting cuz we’re okay kind of eyeing ball flights and seeing what happened. Feel free to screenshot this and have a look for yourself, but as you can see, ball speeds varied quite a bit. The best ball speed we had was the Titalist head with the Titalist shaft. The second best ball speed was the Titus head with the T-U shaft. And that did feel like I I could have guessed that really. The one thing letting it down with the t-u shaft and the titleless head. Bear with me here because there’s a lot of tongue twisters was the spin rate as you can see. So the best spin rate of course again was that titless head and shaft. Now as soon as I put the teu shaft in the title head we really really struggled there. And as you can see the timu head with the titalist shaft 157 ball speed nearly 3,000 spin but still 271 carry still doing pretty well. So for the numbers here, realistically, yeah, you are losing some distance, but soon as we put that Teimu shaft in the title’s head, you can see we picked up a little bit more ball speed, dropped that spin, and almost got to the same numbers as we managed with that titleless head and shaft combination. I need a lie down or a beer.

  1. James, do you honestly think someone who is using a non conforming driver or any club or ball would say to their opponents who may be their mates, or at an open day somewhere, “ I can’t play you for money or a round of drinks as my equipment is non confirming”? Would they heck!

  2. Put another way. Just say you made online content lessons which were on a subscription basis. And someone copied that content and sold it for a third of the price. Bet you wouldn’t be happy.
Enjoy your content, nevertheless. Thank you.

  3. I went after your review of it and bought one. It should be here in a week or two. I’ll give you a review after I get it in.

  4. The way I feel is 99% of us are not playing in tournaments where it has to be approved, so why not go out and enjoy the game with some clubs that don’t blow your greens fees money.

  5. I purchased a stiff shaft and Titleist adapter from Amazon. I took my Titleist TR2 driver head and put it on the stiff shaft for my nephew. He loves it. It didn’t cost him anything.

  6. I love these comparisons videos. I think Temu clubs are a good alternative to equipment for players who cannot afford the brand names. The only concern is warranty. If something breaks after 30 days your stuck with the broken one from Temu.

  7. I have always felt the head of the club gives you forgiveness while the shaft was the engine. I’m not saying a little extra yards can’t be found with a head change. I have at least 7 different drivers at any one time. Titliest, Callaway, Taylormade, Cobra, Wilson and even Costco😊. I have found that I can hit them all just as good on the good days but the ones with the shafts that truly match my swing speed/tempo even on the bad days. I have even learn love my SLDR which took years of playing and head adjustments.

  8. As some point the ‘fake’ Rolex watches got so good they perform almost identical and it takes a pro to tell them apart. So at what point is it essentially a Rolex. Only your banker knows for sure

  9. You say that temu is the winner. I argue that Joe Public the high handicapper who aspires to have a decent driver is the winner. Time the big brands took a look at their pricing.

  10. I agree – So why not enjoy a club that performs well for you?
Too much emphasis nowadays on "fantastic" performance – its not something the average golfer can achieve or even afford.
James you are right on the button and the sooner normal golfers just get out there and enjoy the genuine, simple game, the better.
I have the same opinion about the WHR – I'm 75, just back into the game after 30 years and with struggling mobility – so why do I have to put cards into a system requiring 54 holes (ie 6 x 9) – madness, very difficult for me, I cant afford a buggy – I'm not likely to be a bandit! – I just want a simple handicap to get me into say mixed foursome at my own club – I'll never be over in the States, Dubai etc as I'd struggle boarding let alone getting around at whatever destination it is – its just stupid!!
PS I really enjoy my Golf but there are so many obstacles, legislative and financial …. so sad

  11. I love golf, but the prices have gotten out of hand. These manufacturers keep signing players to use their clubs, yet we are paying the price for that. If you expect me to pay those prices, then I should get a vote on who you sign to use them. Temu is great for getting people into the game at affordable prices. If their equipment is going to perform as well as the other major brands then that is a win win for us all.

  12. Went back to my R7 driver and got it custom painted refurbished. I put an updated shaft in the head, a ventus red. Its a monster and hangs with everything my buddies have. I sold all my Callaway triple diamond drivers , max drivers, stealth driver, pxg driver, Ping driver, I can go on forever. Newer isnt better people. Get an old titanium driver and polish clean it up and save yourself a TON of money. It's all b.s and I finally woke up. More consistent and confidence is through the roof. I feel like I'm back off the tee. I cannot hit any of this new junk and I've played and bought all of them. Use what works for you and call it a day, stop blowing your money, it's a scam. These companies are laughing at us every year, stop falling for the hype. Nice video James. 🔥

  13. what would you recommend to me between these two drivers you have discussed
1- ased driver re Titlelist COMPARISON ABOVE 10.5 LOFT REG,FLEX RH
2- THE MOSTER DRIVER NICKENT WITH ATTAS SHAFT REG FLEX RH 10.5 LOFT
I AM SENIOR GOLFER SWING SPEED HIGH 80"S PLAY FITTED PXG 2011 Driver CLUB NOW
AND WHERE CAN YOU GET A PRICE AND SUPPLY OF THE MOSTER DRIVER.
What is the best value for the $ re these 2 drivers
    Thanks
I really enjoy your videos and your honest opinion for the consumer.

  14. Unfortunately the problem is greed they don’t need to charge
What they charge and still make profit so people are going to seek a alternative

  15. Hi James, on the question of launch monitors I have been fortunate to use a friend's Rapsodo Pro – – at about £650 it is over a quarter as cheap as the Wave and also gives good solid information, so on the question of cost to the average golfer why promote a high ended product that has equal ability to the Rapsodo. the latter for a fraction of the cost?

  16. Have you every considered cutting a real driver and then the fake Temu and comparing how they are built inside?

  17. James you seen what driver justin rose used and won with at weekend !! You know yiu should game it !! Game changer for me !!

  18. James, now one has to ask when buying from TEMU or other Chinese websites or apps. Is it worth saving some $ while supporting in some cases Scam companies loyal to the CCP some who pay young children slave wages for long hours per day to make products or package those or ship those WHILE taking jobs away from your countrymen or women. You are supporting evil and criminal activities (Theft of Technology, Slave labor and all other Evil the CCP carries out 24/7/365). I'd say buy used Titleist if you want one.

Next be cautious buying from any Chinese websites or apps as a lot of individuals have had their data stolen and in some cases financial theft has occurred or false purchases executed. Is it worth all that for any Club?! I personally think not!

  19. Anyone looking to buy this driver, avoid Temu. Calong makes this product and has free shipping, plus you're guaranteed the correct loft. The 9.5 was much more on Temu.

  20. You are selling the driver so ceap you know the shaft and grip are temu cheap, maybe higher end cheap. You replace it with a low end name brand shaft and grip you may improve it, or better yet fitted.

  21. I do not consider this Temu to be a “fake” because it doesn’t say “Titleist” on it. That Temu driver is frankly no different than the Kirkland.

  22. I would rather buy clubs a year or two old with brand names. In the last 12 months months iv bought a PXG gen 5 driver for £130, a gen6 for £160, a Xxio X for £77, a Xxio XI for £104 and a few weeks ago a PXG black ops for £271. I buy and sell clubs as a hobby if you think thats a lot of drivers lol. Point is there are better, branded clubs out there at similar if not better prices than the Temu one. So for me I'd go a second hand, like new club from the big brands on a year or two old club rather than £150 on a Temu club of questionable build quality.

  23. OK, your stats show that you can get over 97% of the performance (from the Temu club) at
something I guess would be about half the price (or less) of the Titleist. It's not for me to say which is the better choice, because players have different needs. But that is the choice.

  24. While I have never bought a club from Temu, I have purchased shafts. I have a GD UB6 , Autoflex SF505 and Mitsubishi MMT 80s Irons shafts. The GD UB was equal to a buddies real one. The Autoflex was slightly stiffer than a real SF505 but the results were very similar. The biggest surprise was the MMT. I put them in some Ping i230 irons .They feel and play great. Dollar investment was $160 CAD.
