Golf equipment is always changing so you should know what you’re playing with

golf balls no longer look like this where they kind of ooze the rubber bands out when you cut them open and all this really gross nasty rubber comes out. They are a lot cooler now with a lot of different types of rubber and outer shells than before. So to show you, I’m going to compare the cheapest to one of the most expensive golf balls. And as you look at the inside here, you can really see there is a huge difference. So let me break it down for you. When we look at the cheapest golf ball ever, you can see we’ve got a really really like recycled rubber on the inside with cement. It’s just not good. Not going to give you the distance you want. Great for someone who’s learning and wants to lose a lot of balls, but not for an average player. Now, when you look at the most expensive golf ball, you can see all the different types of rubbers going on in here. There’s a pattern to it. It’s meant to help you hit further and better and to get control over distance and spin. And the outer shell is different, too. This is a urethane outer shell, which is going to help you increase your distance. And that’s a little taste of the difference between golf balls. But let me know if you guys have any more questions about golf equipment.

  1. Do you have any Honma D1 you can cut? Been curious what it looks like inside. Thanks

  2. I tap a golf ball with my finger nail. If it's high pitched I like it, lower pitched I dont use.
    Don't know why.
