I am guessing she is a beginner and doesn’t really know what she is doing. She should have more control over the horse and stop whipping it so much, that was the worst run I have ever seen. Otherwise I encourage her to get more training and continue to improve
So I am a kid I am nearly 10 and I want to be a barrel racer but I have a spooky and nervous horse
The barrel racers are aggressive with their horses, and it's true, but I didn't think it was to this extent. The girl was just focused on going faster and winning, she kept whipping without reason and without control of the horse, forgetting that it's the horse that's competing and doing most of the work. Respect comes first, guys.

I’m sorry but yall keep hating but don’t know the reason behind things she might have had to whip him for a reason not just for speed I have rode horses that need that it just didn’t probably go as planned I get it’s ur opinion but saying that her horse needs a new home might hurt her feelings.

why did you whip the horse when your about to go around the barrel? they would go to fast and have a really wide turn. (i’m a barrel racer btw). i would suggest just whipping the horse running back home. your making your run so much slower with those wide turns and i would also suggest having a better seat. one last thing, keep a straight elbow whenever your turning your barrel. if you bend your elbow your horse’s nose will go in to far and cause his body to go out.

Honestly barrel racing takes a lot of work and you have to know your horse and sometimes they have to change horses 🐴 at the last minute and then it's a problem for the rider and the horses 🐴🐎.

What ive learned with doing horse riding for awhile you do not just whip the horse nonstop while going around barrels. You mostly use your legs to guide a horse, not just the whip.

My first barrel race 40 years ago my stallion jumped all three barrels. Still have PTSD over it.😂
It's a sad situation whips and spurs😢
The horse was protecting the girl. Intelligent disobedience. He knew somebody would get hurt. Besides, that constant whipping knocked him off his rhythm.

Heyyyy!! Barrel racer here!! I’m here to give a few tips on your riding! I’m not an expert so this isn’t hate since this community is VERY rude sometimes but it’s just some friendly tips so YOU can become a PRO barrel racer at your races!!
1.Don’t whip when turning!
It messes their pattern up sometimes
2.Don’t Try to go super fast if you can’t turn a barrel,
Your going to fast you need to WOAHHH a little bit turn and then whip ONCE!
3.WEAR A HELMET
4.dont barrel race at races! You can’t ride the best hun

If you are a seasoned barrel racer and you have a well trained horse you don't need to whip the horse at all. The horse KNOWS what is expected and will do its job without the theatrics of pretending you're a tough rider.

This is one good horse! The rider on the other hand 😬 looks like this horse could be an awesome horse with the right rider, but this is not a great rider
