Nico Echavarria. Guy was near the top of a lot of leaderboards on Saturday afternoons.

  2. Honestly both Rai and Potgieter missing the cut is surprising, both have played super well this season. I’ve seen more of them this year on the leaderboards than lots of the other guys that made the BMW this week

Aaron Rai for me. Potential Ryder Cup guy with like 10 top 25 finishes this year and made the cut at every major. He had a good year overall.

None really, but now it gets good 😬🍿

Seemed liked Jake Knapp had a chance to win like 3 or 4 tournaments this year (usually the ones with not as stacked fields)

Knapp. Completely fell apart in the playoffs, missing the cut at the Wyndham & going +5 in Memphis. 4 top-10s this year, 5 more top-25s, just went cold at the wrong time.

Finau seemed to be trending towards a top 10 golfer in 2022-2023 and is really going through a rough patch. Hope he can find it.

Did Clark destroy the locker room in Memphis when he found out he wasn’t in the top 50?

Not surprising, but Rickie Fowler managed to turn 6 Signature event sponsor exemptions (guaranteed FedEx cup points) into a 64th place regular season finish and in turn one good week last week into guaranteed starts in the signature events next year.

Speith had similar amounts of sponsors exemptions but couldn’t finish top 50. Don’t worry though because he’ll probably just get bailed out with sponsors exemptions next year tho!

Aaron Rai always seems to be someone in the top 5 at majors after round 1 and then just falls off in the later rounds.

Rai and Knapp are shocking to me. Seems like they’ve been at the top of the leaderboard so many times this season

Min Woo Lee playin too much Warzone lmao

  13. aselinger

    Spieth, Wyndham, Min Woo, Finau.

Don’t know if it’s “surprising” precisely, but those are definitely guys who based on talent and following you’d expect to see in the top 50 of their sport.

Just shows how fickle this game is at the very top.

Most surprised about Rai and Finau’s finishes. Most bummed about Min Woo’s though, I really enjoy watching him play. Hopefully they all find it next year!

It’s unbelievable how cooked spieth is.

Finau is surprising but maybe he’s too grounded to really care

    Wyndham is an angry baby

And for all the love min woo Lee got on full swing, it looks like they hitched their wagon to the wrong star

  16. Xander made it to the next event at 42, but at risk of not making the finals. Not a good trend going into Ryder Cup

  17. vonneguts_anus

Where’s the Gooch? You call this a playoff?

  18. BasicCraft2385

I think Kityama and Xander both have good weeks and make the TC

  19. Twism86x

Finau is the biggest surprise for me, especially being that far off. On the opposite side Sam Stevens surprises me in the top 50, mainly because I have no clue who that is and I watch golf every week!

  20. dabbing-dad

I wish every name from 51-70 was Wyndham Clark

  21. DasaniFresh

The Spieth fall from grace will be studied.

  22. Ok_Pause2547

He didnt even break the list but what happened to Tom Kim lol. I feel like the dude completely fell off this year for being a bigger name and idk how many cuts he’s even made this year

  23. RalphHos

I think I’m pretty much up to date with most of what happens on the golf scene but I swear I have never heard of Sam Stephens before.

  24. TraditionPast4295

Happy to see Wyndham Clark not make it in.

  25. itsallmeaninglessto

Spieth just ain’t dat dude anymore

  26. crispin2015

Not surprised with any of them but my new favorite player to watch is JJ!

  27. Failureprone

Speith, Knapp, Yu, and Finau. Must be a tough course, because these guys can ball.

  28. Sweet-Environment992

Min Woo Lee and Jordan Spieth for me. Min Woo won the Houston Open it seemed with ease. Seemed to be in control of his shots. I definitely thought he might have a decent year this year and just fell apart after that. Spieth even though he had fallen off, seemed like he was getting some of his old game back this year and was making a move and just kind of stubbled a bit in the back end of the season.

  29. Ol_Man_J

Wyndham Clark for sure. Naming a kid Wyndham is very rare.
