Adam Scott is the perfect actor to play this role I think he has you know defined what the sort of office culture attitude is in movies and television comedically and seriously but he’s just like such an interesting dude because he’s so normal but not normal and he has an incredible comedic timing and I also knew that he would see in this role all the things that he’s done in his career that there were aspects of it because he is playing a guy who goes to work every day but has no idea who he is where he is or what he’s doing and then on the outside he’s dealing with this other really heavy stuff so you know to have him give that underneath layer to it I knew that he would really bring that to life in a really interesting way I love working with him

  1. I swear you made the role around him <3 just perfect ! I have a deep understanding working the film industry and i see it 100%

  2. I just rewatched Party Down – and I could not stop imagining, that Henry is just another innie of Marc.

  3. I absolutely LOVE this series. I’m trying not to binge watch it so I can enjoy every episode.
Definitely deserves awards. Everything from the acting, characters, cinematography, plot, script… is just perfection. Imo

  4. Two things, one: how did the tissue get past the "code detectors" ?? Clue?? Two: i love helly's "oh no, im trying to leave?" Whem she first splits

  5. There are many resemblances and similarities to Clark Kent, as portrayed by Christopher Reeve. This provides him with a significant unconscious reservoir of sympathy.

  6. Adam's acting is fantastic. The differentiation between his "innie" and "outtie" is perfect. You can feel the difference—the eyesight, the facial expressions, the voice tense—everything that Adam created for both of Mark's characters is amazingly finished and well done.

  7. its one of those shows where you cant imagine any one person being casted differently. Also as a side note some of the lines from the brother in laws book are just so so good. i was getting pumped just hearing some of the stuff in there, the way it fueled them and everything is just so good.

  8. It is so fun he applies the comedic straight man approch to a thriller. He is there ready h waiting for the punch line and a little wackiness but instead gets a pile of weird…then has to react to that.

  9. With all this commotion, everyone seemed to silently accept the fact that Ben is not acting in the series and he probably didnt want too but, hey, I miss seeing Ben Stiller movies, I really think he is the most endearing actor

  10. Gotta be honest, I didn’t really like Adam Scott. Thought he had such a punchable face in other shows and movies. But this show truly turned that around for me. I think it’s because he wasn’t really a comedic actor and it felt forced. Then this came along and he fit in really well. Kudos Adam. I am a fan.

  11. The whole cast is flawless. Adam is great for sure but they literally don’t miss. Whoever was in charge of casting absolutely nailed every role

  12. Adam Scott really was the perfect choice in this. Kinda reminds me of how Jason Bateman went from being comedic to being serious in Ozarks and did it perfectly. I see a lot of parallels here with Adam Scott. He's playing this thriller perfectly.

  13. I hate to be morbid as I don't know if I'm in a good head space yet but this really reminds me of being trafficked with GHB and suddenly realizing the life you've been living for the last 13 years.

  14. i just finished s1 and that entire cast is absolute TOP TIER and… that might be self-reporting on the type of shows i usually watch but i'm glad there's no here-to-look-good cast in this show. it's just pure top acting PERIOD. love it
