MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State golf teams will hit the course for five fall tournaments as the Beavers begin their first season under the guidance of new head coach Gary Brekhus.
Coach Brekhus announced the first half of the Beavers’ 2025-26 golf schedule, which features four two-day tournaments in September and another in mid-October hosted by rival NSIC schools.
The season gets underway on Monday and Tuesday, September 8 and 9, at Bemidji State’s annual Don Niskanen Classic for the men and Tracy Lane Memorial for the women at the Bemidji Town & Country Club.
Following the season opener, the Minot State golf teams will be in action for three more consecutive weeks, next heading to the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl co-hosted by Minnesota State, Mankato and Concordia, St. Paul. The two-day tournament will be Monday and Tuesday, September 15 and 16, at the Troy Burne Golf Course in Hudson, Wisconsin.
The next week, the Beavers head to The Jewel Invitational hosted by Winona State at The Jewel Golf Course in Lake City, Minnesota, on Monday and Tuesday, September 22 and 23.
A busy September of action wraps up in Bismarck for the Beavers, who play at the 5th annual Marauders Tournament at the Hawktree Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday, September 29 and 30.
After four consecutive weeks of action on the road, the Beavers take a week off from competition before finishing the fall slate at the USF Invitational hosted by Sioux Falls on Monday and Tuesday, October 13 and 14, at the Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort in Larchwood, Iowa.
Following the tournament in Iowa, the Beavers will break for a few months of winter weather and practice, returning to the course in March for the spring portion of their schedule, which concludes with the NSIC Championships in April in Missouri.
The NSIC Men’s Golf Championship will be held April 17-19 at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Missouri. The NSIC Women’s Golf Championship will be held April 22-24 at the Adams Pointe Golf Complex in Blue Springs, Missouri.
