This starts left to where he wants it. Will it carry? It doesn’t look good. It’s in the red. Bones. Oh, but it clears. Is it going to stay? Barely. It’s going to be just like not only in the fairway, but safely on dry ground. I thought I heard him say it’s fine to Fooch there, but starting out to the right. It’s in the red. Smiley headed right and it should be in between those two bunkers. Is it going to stay out of the thick stuff? Yeah. Starting well to the right now turning towards the right side of the green. Landed fairly softly and finish about hole high. Just gains his balance is right in the hole and he knows what that ball does. Looks pretty similar. Almost identical. Swing here. It, you know, was again less than stable after he hit it here. Kids, he kind of wobbles a little bit. It ended up being okay. I thought he’d have a much more difficult time, but since he had driver had such a shorter yardage in, he could hit short club. Amazing how much spin and control he got on it. Distance control. Perfect. [Applause] There’s another long one going to go to that not go in. It looks so right there. He’s got to think it. Look, it almost looks like it goes left again at the very end. So, a far spot and it opens the door again for Justin Rose to win it. [Applause] How close can you get? Wow. Rose and Spawn next month. So, two golden opportunities for Rose to win the golf tournament. G starting out to the right turning and this is a beauty. Yeah, this one in the green. He’s had the couple of misses right in the last two times he’s split it in regulation of the first playoff and that splits the fairway. He likes this one a lot. No doubt about that one. Bones that was in the green the entire way. Justin Rose has the advantage out there with a driver. Good looking shot. Yeah, this time he’s closer. Right below the hole. Starting towards the middle of the green. Wind holding it out there. [Applause] [Applause] Shadow to sunlight to Shadow and in the top. There goes the USA chance. Dan JJ Spawn at the 18 strikes again from long range. [Music] It put away US Open title in the rain at Oakmont. Is it good enough? [Applause] Clutch all the way for Justin Rose. You see Gary Young in the PGA Tour again reminding the guys that it’s going to be a different hole location. So, they’ve worn this one out. They finally figured it out. Now they’re going to change it. This is a tight draw up the left side. Watching it close. That’s as aggressive as you can get with that club off the T D. needs to hang on. It’s hanging on and it’s in the fairway. Landed soft enough. He He hung that one out. Win held it up. Starting right, turning just right at the flag stick. Oh, it was the right one. Really receptive back there. Thought when it landed it might pitch through the green, but hitting that full wedge was able to get plenty of spin on it. That was just hit on the button. Played a draw into the right hole location, too. Not his typical shot. Good contact. Oh man, who’s going to blink? These guys are throwing darts. Was just absolutely flushed by Rose as well. Fun watching two elite players on their game. Yep. First birdie in in a third playoff pole. On the new hole location, but the same result for Rose. Love the speed that went in. See it hit the back of the hole in this. No. And Justin Rose is a playoff winner again. You played golf all over the world. You’ve won tournaments all over the world. How would you describe the fight you brought to this Sunday in Memphis? Yeah, that was an amazing uh I guess last 90 minutes really. I mean uh seemed to be the way it got this week when I got myself a few backs. Something good would happen. Um never stopped believing. Uh the six line I hit into 14 as a clutch shot, you know, back right pin. Had to hit the perfect golf shot in there that set up the birdie that I needed just to give myself a chance and um played unbelievable golf coming down the stretch. Had so much fun with it. Um 18 was playing perfectly for me today. If I pulled it, I carried it. If I held it up, I So, you know, you know, I hit a couple good putts in regulation and in the first playoff hole as well. Obviously JJ dropped a bomb on me. I topped him. It was, you know, it was a lot of fun today. Um that’s why I practice. That’s why I play. I’ve been saying for some time now. Obviously, you know, Augusta, when I bring my best, I know I’m good enough to to play and to compete and to now win against the best players in the world. So, very gratifying day for me and um a lot of hard work kind of coming to fruition. 45 years of age. What did you learn about yourself today? Everyone calls you meticulous, precise, and prepared. But what did you learn about what’s inside of you at this age in your career? Yeah, I’ve always known I’ve had that. Like I get nervous with the best of them, you know, like I feel nervous at times, but I know that when it when it matters, I still got it. Um I kind of get I feel better and better and better as it more gets more and more important. So that’s good to know. Um the hard stuff to practice is the hard stuff to teach. Um nice to know that that that hasn’t left me uh at this ripe old age. But listen, I don’t want to keep saying that because I’m actually I feel like I’m moving well. The body’s feeling good. I’m training well. Um yeah, I feel like there could be, you know, listen, it could be a good run of golf still. So I I can’t let the the age kind of uh become too much of the story. But today’s huge for me. Uh can’t wait to share it with Fooch. You know, um we’ve been together a long time. Amazing Caddy. We’ve been through our ups and downs. You know, he feels the good and the bad as much as I do. So to share it with we have we kept it quite poised there. You know, obviously there’s a lot of you know, cheering for JJ and USA and you know, you got to respect where you’re at, but um you know, Ryder Cup’s around the corner, so I completely understand. Um but yeah, this is going to be a fun one for us to celebrate. Fantastic week. Congratulations. Thanks, guys. Appreciate it. Thanks for watching the PGA Tour. For more, click here. 1. Rosie is one of the reasons I still watch golf. Class act, a gentleman, and one heck of a competitor. Definitely a credit to all South Africans.

  2. US who? This is an individual sport but we have to listen to these overtly jingoistic crowds weekend weekout. Tacky.
