Most golf videos tell you to pick a spot a few feet in front of your ball to help you aim, but that can actually cause you to misalign your clubface without realizing it. In this video, I show you why that happens and the simple method I use to get perfectly lined up every time.
— Learn how to avoid aim drift
— Get your clubface square to the target
— Build confidence in your alignment
If you’ve ever hit a good swing but missed your target, this tip will change the way you aim forever.

Hey guys, a quick video on how to line up. We’re on uh the forward TE’s at Haras Jadi Golf and Tennis Club. We are about 110 yards away. I watched a lot of YouTube videos where they teach you how to line up. You stand behind the ball, you draw a line back, you pick a spot uh one or two feet in front of your ball. You walk into your ball and aim your club face at that spot. I’ve been I’ve tried this for the last two years. It hasn’t really worked well for me because when I when I walk in and I aim my club face at this point honestly that that point it’s so random. my club face can face you know in let’s say 30° of uh it’s it’s hard to do. So what I figured out works better for me is I do the same thing. I I draw a line back from my target. I pick a spot and I imagine a line from this spot back to my ball. I then place my feet parallel to that line and then I place my club face. So this what this involves is placing my fee feet first and then just placing my club. I’m not bothered about my club face aligning with that point. All I I’m worried about is that my feet are parallel to the imaginary line that I’ve drawn back from that point to my ball. And this works all the time. So So I’m I’m I’m sure my feet are parallel to the line and I place my club. I’m not really worried about the club face. And I come into the shot. I don’t think it can get much better than that. Zoom into the ball if you can. Try this the next time you’re on the golf course. Works well.
