The Northern Ohio Golf Association hosted its third Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series Stroke Play event of 2025 on Monday, in what was a perfect day for golf at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Norwalk.
Ian Hardesty had two nines that were near mirror images of each other on Monday. Ian posted two nines with three birdies and one bogey on each. Hardesty would set the pace for the groups behind him with his 67, which would end up being tied for the low round of the day.

Fresh off a strong close at the Cleveland Am, Chris Okeson came to play right from the start on Monday, making birdie on his first three holes of the day. Okeson would finish the front side with the solo lead through nine after shooting a 32. Chris would go on to shoot even par on the back side, good enough for a share of the victory with Hardesty at 67.
Allen Freeman after his drive on number 6
Allen Freeman broke through with his first Senior Division win of the 2025 season after three previous top-10s. Freeman finished the front-nine strong, making birdie on three of the final five holes. After posting a one over par 36 on the back nine that included a birdie at the last, Freeman finished with a 2-under par 69 and claimed a one shot victory over Dean Cutlip.
The next event on the NOGA Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series schedule is the Alternate Shot at Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club in Hudson on August 29.
