The future of LIV Golf Adelaide is uncertain after negotiations over the 2027 edition of the tournament at the Grange Golf Club stalled.
The Grange is locked in to host the event next year, but says not enough money is on the table to extend its contract, threatening to leave LIV homeless until the North Adelaide course is completed in 2028.

It claims LIV’s position falls “well short” of what is financially required, and does not provide transparency to its members.
“We are continuing our discussions at Grange, but if that doesn’t eventuate we are going to have just as good an event at an alternative course,” South Australian Treasurer Stephen Mullighan said.
LIV Golf says it is still considering its options for 2027, with the state government confident another Adelaide course will be able to host the tournament.
“There are other beautiful courses we’ve got that are proximate to the CBD and would be tremendous options for the state,” Mullighan said.
