the face open just trying to land it just on the green. Oh, what a start for JJ. He birdie two of his last three yesterday and now he’s birdied the first today from off the green. And JJ ended up with Wedge there on a good line just right of the flag. [Applause] Start Ricky Fowler. Little bit of hurt downhill. Probably canceling each other out. 192 to cover that front bunker. That’s the key number. And that was five iron for Poston. Our really good line just right of the flag stick. Right at it. Got that carry number absolutely nailed and that turned out great. Living on the bubble and hitting it stiff. Steve for birdie. And it drops for the man who opened this championship with an eight under 62 on Thursday. This obviously runs extremely fast down towards the low point here at three just beyond the pit. Scotty one of those guys likes a lot of forward handle lean and that is nicely done. Pain on the bag today. It’ll be interesting to see how it all unfolds. This was earlier second at the sixth for Fowler. This is a green light pin today. Front left guys are going to be attacking it with short clubs in into the top 50. Both right around that number. Beautiful stroke that rolls so well through the brand new greens. That’s how you know it’s hot is too hot to be even yelling and screaming. [Music] That’s a good line right there. Oh, he just put himself in range of my favorite category, Billy. Oh, yeah. Well, he’s got the hard part done. Getting to this fairway. This whole location is much more accessible than it has been the last few days up against the water. What a shot, I guess. So, this is also a gap wedge for Sheffler over at the sixth. Should be taken dead. Hey, even at this front left swing there, buddy. You can hear Payne say that’s a dog swing there. So he knows when to come in. Good looking shot. Is it ever through the dog barking? That’s what Rose does. Could be a tap in. Think we’re going to get him off the birdie snide there. Dan starts it out of the hole. Yeah, one of these he can definitely give it a go. Oh, love that. Walk that in. You see that? He broke through in his 94th PGA Tour start recently. Been putting the eyes out of it this year. Oh man, another one falls. Yes, Sheffler ties spawn at the top. [Applause] trying to take dead aim with a little draw. There you go. Great shot. Oh man. Looks like it’s going to be a birdie for Rose. This should get close. [Music] and he was outside the top 50. Great birdie for Fowler. So inside the top 50 to 49. Kirk drops out to 54. Not a very good lead, but needs to get something going here. Oh yeah, that’s getting it going. Collie is number 48. So, not done yet. Not safe yet. I’m going to take a high shot here over that bunker. That helps. Oh, is that big in bonus money 13 earlier? The approach from Fleetwood. There’s the draw. Beautiful. He’s got it back together right now. Yes, he has. That Yes, it is. and what momentum he will carry into the following holes if he can knock this one in for two in a row. The putt you want to have, Bones, another one. Nothing makes a right-handed golfer more excited when you have a putt just outside the right edge. You’ve got to get your line just right. [Music] Oh, this is JJ Spawn aggressive here. Oh, it was time to get over to the gas pedal for Justin Rose and he’s done it. Now is the time after that spectacular cut sixiron. Justin Rose won’t go away. Clutch birdie at the second toughest hole at TPC Southwind. 15 bones. What about the angle for Rose? It’s a good angle, but he’s got mud on his ball from 110. He’s got to read this one perfectly in terms of how the ball curves. And that’s a heck of a job. Oh, he did it. And he did. Remember yesterday he had to draw it around. Hit it over the green. Not done yet. Justin Rose, what a player. Just 100 yards. He can be really aggressive here. One of the best ones we’ve seen, Terry. Looks like he’s aiming a little left of center. Back nine charge Tommy Fleetwood. He’s 33 of the last four. The third for JJ Spawn. par 516. Not a bad spot to play from with that green to work with, but did not judge it right. You know, run by six or seven feet. So now we’re live with Spawn for Birdie. Got it. Spawn gets it to 15 under. You would think he’s got to have this. Yeah, Scotty’s got to make this. I was getting ready to say the same thing, Dan. This has got to go for him to win this golf tournament. Well, he’s won a few and he still has a chance. Fleetwood after the relief, his third. I just saw Spawn and Sheffller get up and down from here. That’s moving. That needs to sit. That can get off a runaway here and go way away from the green. Dan, that is a miscue for Fleetwood big time. Claytonwood just catches the hole on the bottom of it. Spawn rolls it home at 17 to tie Fleetwood. What a run by Rose. Taking bad aim. Pass to and he’s giving himself a very good look. This is Sheffller for one final birdie. He’s going to come up short, but he is going to continue an incredible run. Wow. Why not knock it in? And now Tommy Fleetwood outside of seven ft. I think this is for six one putts in a row. Oh my gosh. Terrible putt. Came right out of it. [Music] Unbelievable. And he does. Four in a row. Justin Rose right to the flag. Oh man, is that a good position to win the golf tournament. And that’s what we’re going to have. [Music] [Applause] This starts left at where he wants it. Will it carry? It doesn’t look good. It’s in the red. Bones. Oh, but it clears. Is it going to stay? Barely. It’s going to be just just gains his balance his right in the hole. And he knows what that ball does. Looks pretty similar. Almost identical. [Applause] There’s another long one going to go. Oh. [Applause] [Applause] Good looking shot. Yeah, this time he’s closer. Right below the hole. Starting towards the middle of the green. Wind holding it out there. [Applause] Shadow to sunlight to Shadow and in the top. [Applause] Clutch all the way for Justin Rose. [Music] Starting right, turning just right at the flag stick. It was the right one. Really receptive back there. Thought when it landed it might pitch through the green, but hitting that full wedge. Good contact. Oh man, who’s going to blink? These guys are throwing darts. [Music] Yep. First booty in in the third playoff. No. And Justin Rose is a playoff winner again. 1. That’s the difference between major winners and just your reg PGA tour player , they’ve got it different between the ears.

  2. Rose's driving performance on the 18th hole was spectacular. He took that water on with massive confidence in his swing. Big balls

  3. JJ holing a monster, and having the crowd start chanting USA, USA, USA made it all feel very much like a Ryder Cup Match.

Which was great, as a European once again won in the end 🤭

    Go Rosey!

  4. Fleetwood will never win on the pga tour, nor do I see him winning again.he just lacks something that makes him choke. Another great player who will never win a major

  5. Rose is one of the greats. Love Fleetwood too. His time will come. Spaun is so good, the real deal.

  6. This “Highlight Reel” is emblematic of the minimalistic coverage NBC gifted “Chopped Liver” J.J. Spaun with on the Weekend – which practically amounted to criminal negligence.

  7. JR is such a legend! Felt so torn when he was in the Playoff vs Rory. So happy for him to grab this one today! GZ!!

  8. Did they change the hole location for the third playoff hole? Can't say ive ever seen that before. Great idea.

  9. Maybe Tommy Fleetwood can learn something from his buddy Rose here. On the PGA tour, defending a lead is not good enough, you need to stay aggressive. The 18th hole was a good example. Fleetwood trails by one and is not taking a driver, Rose leads and bombs a driver to wedge distance – going for the win. Maybe Fleetwood is not as desperate to win as we all are for him to do so.
