BS Group’s Fine Beach Golf Links (Fine Beach) in Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 11th that it has hosted the “BMW Ladies Championship,” the only regular tournament of the LPGA Tour in Korea to be held in October.
The BMW Ladies Championship, which will be held in Pine Beach for four days from October 16 to 19, is touring luxury courses in each region of the country like the operation of the US Open and The Open Championships to build a differentiated tradition unique to the BMW Ladies Championship.
In order to showcase Korea’s diverse beauty around the world, the event decided to host an LPGA event in Jeollanam-do for the first time in history. Since its opening in 2010, BS Group’s Fine Beach has been selected as one of Korea’s top 10 courses and has been listed on a number of best courses. It has recently been included in the Asia Pacific Top 50 Golf Course.

It is a fantastic Sea Side course golf course with fantastic coastal scenery and challenging course settings, and BS Group expects the world’s top LPGA players to perform at their best with beautiful scenery.
BS Group expects about 60,000 officials and galleries visiting the BMW Ladies Championship to contribute to revitalizing the local economy. In order to promote the beautiful natural environment of Haenam, Jeollanam-do, and the AI and energy new city “Solarsido” near Pine Beach, the venue will be operated and on-site events will be held to provide various experiences and information.
Solar City, which is being developed by BS Group, is a large-scale public-private cooperation urban development project that will be built on a total of 20.9 million square meters (6.32 million pyeong) of land in Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do. Based on the optimal location such as large-scale land that can be developed immediately and abundant renewable energy resources, it is being built as a renewable energy-based AI and energy new city.
“The BMW Ladies Championship in Pine Beach will be an opportunity to let golf fans around the world know the beautiful nature of Namdo and its high-quality golf infrastructure,” a BS Group official said. “We will do our best to promote the vision of Solar City and the charm of Jeollanam-do and Haenam through this competition.”
