I also have a Rivian and I absolutely love the gear tunnel for storing clubs, it’s just big enough to fit a golf bag without too much room for it to bounce around. I haven’t had too much trouble getting my bag in and out from the side but the slide makes it look like it’d be tricky in a tight space..
If only trucks came with a storage compartment that fits a golf bag.

Highly recommend the Honda Ridgeline with the under bed storage compartment for the golf clubs. You can even access it in the event someone is parked next to you.
Or, stay with me here, you can put it in the trunk.
Never have I thought in my SUV that I needed a mod on my car bc my golf bag was too hard to get to
