Well for me when I hit a good shot I’m only focusing on one thing but when I get a good result I then start thinking about it causing a shank the next one. Not quite sure how to get over that mental hurdle but that’s what happens

Like someone said above, you’re pretty far from the ball. First shot just happened to be timed/synched right. Standing that far, your body will course correct and push the hips/knees closer to try and make contact causing a shank.
