My biggest struggle trying to learn how to golf without taking lessons has been dealing with early extension and getting my arms through. I played my best round of golf this weekend and want to know if this is me finally doing that? Obviously have swing flaws but just want to hear people who actually know what the hell they are talking about to give me any pointers or explain if still not clearing my hips and getting my arms through, really appreciate any helpful comments or insights. Also understand this isn’t the best angle but I’m hoping it shows what I’m referring too.

This might be the worst angle possible to try to understand the degree and timing of hip and shoulder rotation, and to see early extension.

You are swaying off the ball in your backswing. From your eye view, you’re sliding your hips to the right.
Your right hip should move back (away from the ball, not away from the target) in the back swing, not right.

In the downswing your left hip should move back, initiating your torso rotation and creating space for your arms to whip through.
