This is my betardi queen bee putter and today I’m going to be putting a kangaroo leather grip on the putter. Now I love this putter and it’s kind of vintage copper brass look, but then I went ahead and I put a superstroke grip on it which completely ruined the aesthetic. So I ordered this kangaroo leather putter grip from Grip Masters in a beautiful rich red leather color. This thing is stunning and I can already tell the grip feels amazing. I’m going to be throwing this on the putter and letting you know how it feels. Now, ideally, in order to do this, you would have a whole workbench with a vice and a razor blade, and you’d have a bunch of tools. I don’t have any of that. I have this funky little handsaw, a golf works grip kit. I have my grip, and I have my putter. And we’re just going to have to make this work. The first thing I need to do is get this old superstroke grip off of the club. This is again not the ideal tool set to do this, but all I’m going to do is try to saw this off. I’m literally sweating after doing that. I highly recommend having the proper tools if you get to that shop. But we got the grip off. Now we just got to get this tape off. I’m going to use a little bit of heat. I don’t have a blowtorrch either, but I have this little lighter at home and some gooon. So, I’m going to work to get this off. There you go. We’ve got a perfectly clean shaft and it is ready to apply some grip tape. [Music] Now that we’ve got the grip tape on, the next part is to add a little bit of grip solvent to the tape. This is the part of the process where apparently you really want a golf vise, but I do not have one, so we’re just going to go for it. [Music] I envisioned that being way easier, but after some serious pushing, we got this on. I’m going to give it a little clean, get it all ready, and show you the final result.
