A charity golf day in south Essex has raised more than £6,000 for Havens hospices.
Boyce Hill Golf Club, in Benfleet, hosted the special event which resulted in raising £6,083 to support families across Essex.
The golf club’s annual charity day has been running for 35 years.
John Judge, the charity day co-ordinator at Boyce Hill Golf Club, said: “Since its inception in 1990, Boyce Hill Golf Club’s annual charity day has raised a sum in excess of £500,000 for Havens hospices and other local hospices and charities.

“We are very proud of our 35-year association with Havens Hospices, and we are already looking forward to next year’s event.”
Havens hospices, who offer specialist care and support for people of all ages living with incurable conditions, rely on the support of the local community to continue their work.
They thanked Boyce Hill Golf Club for their “kind generosity”.
