Bad tactic by Moutet. Should have done like De Minaur and gone to the net at every opportunity. Also where were his usual drop shots and underarm serves?
De Minaur is very skilled and an excellent mover. If he had a powerful forehand, I think he could be as good as—maybe even better than—Sinner or Alcaraz.
He’s so quick to get up to the net!
And at least in these highlights, he barely let Moutet hit his forehand.

Finally demon starts coming into the net. It's what's been missing from his game for years. Just slogging along from the baseline does not get you into the top ten. If he has any hope of getting back in this is what he needs to keep doing and get more confidence at the net. Also makes it more interesting for the audience.

Moutet is decent young player. Also its interesting to watch battle of smaller but quick players, considering I am 1.93 cm tall
from these highligths it seems to me De Minaur came to the net quite often. Good choice. With some more variation in his game he can comfortably stay in the top 10 for a long time.
There is a lot I like about de Minaur’s game but I wish he had some weapons. Relying on speed and countering his opponents will win a lot of matches but against the big 3 (The new big 3) he is going to have to hope they’re having an off day. You can just imagine the power and angles they would have found off some of the balls Alex hit in this match but he couldn’t close out some of the points when he had the chance.

I like Di Minauer’s game. He’s worked really hard to generate more pace and he is very smart about attacking the net. He’s way more fun to watch than the baseline bots.
Moutet thinks tennis is about being a plugger…maybe that works at club level…not on the ATP …
