[Music] Dannon for boxing news. Delighted to be joined by Lennox Lewis. Lennox, thanks again for your time this week. We’ve just seen Alexander Jess produce a stunning fifth round stoppage victory over Daniel Dahan the rematch. Give us your thoughts. Yeah, listen, he was unbelievable. He was unformed today. He he boxed great. He did the right things. He was counter punching and he was moving well and he wasn’t getting caught and he started off with a jab. So, what can you say? I spoke to Alexander’s cupman, Russ Amber, and he says he felt Daniel started a bit too fast, a bit too reckless. Is it a sort of a case of you’re almost damned if you do, you damned if you don’t? They say you got to stick them on him, but then you stick them on him too much, you leave the gaps. Yeah, it’s it’s that kind of situation. It’s it’s a control violence basically and control movement, making sure that you don’t overcommit and you know, you got to use speed more than power. So, in this in this uh fight, it should have been more speed than more power. Yeah, sorry, Lennox. So, we had a bit of distraction in the background there. Uh, how long can Alexander Yusk? How long can Alexander go on for, Lennox? You look better than ever at 38 years of age. 38 years of age. I mean, let me tell you, he’s looking good. There’s no um there’s no uh injuries and uh he moves well. He’s still got the speed. So I think he can go on for another couple years and with the sports science that he’s using is really helping

  1. Lewis is grudgingly giving Usyk some respect here.

But it comes in a week where he has boasted he would easily beat Usyk and where his prediction on a Dubois win was wsrong.

He should recognize what Oleksandr has achieved in this division.

  2. It's because of the skin tone, in case you're wondering. Most blacks can't accept "da white man" beating one of their own under any circumstances

  3. Usyk beat a punch-drunk Chisora and Tony Bellew. Aside from them, I haven't heard of anyone else he's faced in the cruiserweight division. He then fought AJ, who doesn't seem to understand how a spar bar works; Fury, who had a terrible fight against Klitschko; and Deontay Wilder. After that, he beat Dubois, who can barely string a sentence together—God knows what he's like when asked to remember a combination! Please, people, be realistic.
I think boxing is scripting fights now, taking a leaf out of WWE's book. Dubois was clearly looking at his corner, obviously being told to stay down, I suppose. I just wonder how much money people are betting on these 'scripts.' Really think about it, guys: AJ, Chisora, Bellew, Dubois, Fury. Please consider these names, or am I just crazy?
There's talk of Usyk being one of the best, but it's all to bring in views and money. It's all entertainment, guys. The man walked up and then strolled off to his corner after being told to stay down. 🥹"

  4. It's funny how most people thought Dubios would beat Usyk, but USYK completely destroyed Dubious. Beat him down, and took his belt, with ease.

  5. NO! Usyk is not the GOAT – he wouldn't last one round with prime Mike Tyson! He is purposely choosing LARGE SLOW fighters without KNOCKOUT punch. Those fights bring lots of money – I mean, who doesn't like "DAVID v. GOLIATH" story?! The only 'BIG' who could beat Usyk is Deontay Wilder – if he ever get motivated. Wilder is tall, quick with huge punch! Wilder can keep the distance and wait to launch his 'nuclear right'! Wilder does poorly with those huge heavyweights who prefer WRESTLING instead of boxing!

  6. Usyk is starting to hedge into his legacy. He might get more critical if Usyk keeps winning these big fights and starts being viewed as more of an AG HW.

  7. Lewis be jealous of Usyk ! He Lennox, you struggled against Holyfield in both bouts, you did not beat him convincingly ! Usyk woulda given you problems ! Give him the respect he's earned !! Sports science he's using ???? Bitter Lewis !

  8. We believe Daniel was the next Mike Tyson😅 but now we know he's not 🚭🚫 time to f*** off bath 🚿😭 Tyson fury is coming back 😭🔙

  9. I started losing respect for Lennox of late. Doesn't give enough respect for all that Usyk achieved.

Usyk would have easily outboxed him with his genuis. Look what he did to Fury. Much bigger guy than Lennox and a great boxer. Fury is comparable or even bigger than any biggest heavyweight of any era.

  10. не надто мені подобається цей мужик. п'ять хвилин співав усику дефірамби а потім сказав що я б його виграв. це неетично як мінімум. не в цьому інтерв'ю

  11. So you are saying boxing is the only sport on earth that doesn't evolve and move forward? Look at any other sport and compare it to "good old days" old ones are squishy and slow compared to today. Even in Track and field they do new world records all the time… but nah.. Rocky Marciano would beat them all! 😂
