In the world of titalist woods, one typically is the number for players who want a little more swing speed. These are going to be the lighter, higher launching, more forgiving drivers. And that’s true with the GT1, but the GT1 is a little more versatile than the ones that came before it. As you can see, this has a little bigger footprint than its brothers, the two, three, or four. It’s a very forgiving head design. They can build this to lighter weights, but they’re also able to build this to conventional or standard head weights for players like me who may just want a lot more forgiveness. They may want higher launch, but they don’t want the lighter weight. This is the most forgiving of the GT drivers. It’s a little higher launching than some of the others, but it’s not very high spinning. I found it very equivalent to my GT3 on my best strikes, but it was much easier to hit, much more forgiving on my worst strikes. So, let me know in the comments if you’re willing to give the Touglas GT1 driver a shot.
