Trump Turnberry has launched a new ‘Scottish Resident’ rate for the acclaimed King Robert the Bruce course.
Bosses at the luxury hotel and golf resort say they want to offer local golfers the opportunity to experience one of the world’s best links layouts at a significantly reduced green fee.
Nic Oldham, general manager at Trump Turnberry, said: “The King Robert the Bruce is a world-class course that celebrates Scotland’s rich golfing heritage. This special Scottish Resident rate is our way of inviting more local golfers to discover the course for themselves – an unforgettable links experience that has rightly earned global recognition.”
The King Robert the Bruce made its debut in Golf Digest magazine’s respected ranking of the ‘World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses’ last year, joining the resort’s legendary Ailsa course as the second Turnberry course to feature in the prestigious list- and reinforcing Trump Turnberry as a golfer’s paradise.
Set among the historic ruins of Turnberry Castle – said to be the birthplace of King Robert the Bruce – the par-72 championship course was designed by Martin Ebert, who was also responsible for the transformation of the Ailsa.
Opened in 2016, the 7,203-yard layout features windswept, gorse-lined fairways, strategically contoured greens, and breathtaking views of the Turnberry Lighthouse and Ailsa Craig.

Scottish residents can now take advantage and book a fourball at a special rate of £500 per group. The offer is available on a daily basis after 2pm until October 31, 2025 (proof of Scottish residency is required).
The introduction of the ‘Scottish Resident’ rate coincides with a range of new features across the Trump Turnberry resort – from the reopening this summer of the Ailsa course following extensive renovations to the upgrade of the golf academy featuring state-of-the-art Trackman Range and Trackman iO Simulator.
The interactive driving range, which uses radar technology to track the ball flight, serves the King Robert the Bruce along with the other courses and is now open for use by members and guests.
Additionally, the bespoke simulator room – one of the most advanced golf simulation experiences in the world, with more than 300 iconic courses from around the globe – will soon include virtual recreations of the Ailsa, King Robert the Bruce and Arran courses.
The King Robert the Bruce and Ailsa courses are complemented by the Arran, currently under an exciting renovation of its own and to reopen in 2026, and the Wee Links pitch-and-putt, ideal for families and beginners.
Guests can indulge in an exceptional range of accommodations, including elegant ocean-view bedrooms, the iconic two-bedroom Lighthouse Suite with sweeping views of the Championship courses and the Firth of Clyde, as well as self-catering cottages and exclusive use villas – all just a short stroll from the fairways.
The resort offers three 2AA Rosette restaurants, an award-winning spa and a wide range of outdoor pursuits at Turnberry Adventures.
