Prince Andrew has consistently been in and out of the headlines for scandal over the past few years, but now his ex-wife has caught attention as a new book claims that, after the Duke of York, Fergie wanted a piece of Tiger Woods.
The new book, called Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, claims the Duchess took a particular liking to the 15-time golf major champion, telling friend Piers Morgan she was flying 1,500 miles to see the “gorgeous” athlete.
Author Andrew Lownie claims that after her well-televised divorce, she created a list of men who she aimed to pursue, including the golfer as well as Hollywood heartthrobs Kevin Costner and George Clooney.
Fergie and Tiger were pictured sharing a quick hug in 1997 following his win at a tournament in Texas when he was only 22 years old. But the spark doesn’t seem to have faded with the Duchess posting on her Instagram in 2019 after his historic Masters win.

She wrote: “Never have I been more proud. Good days and bad days, Tiger’s heart is loyal, steadfast and he is an amazing friend.”
Lownie writes that the Duchess even told Morgan that she was so big a fan she would “follow him around the course for a bit and see how I get on”.
An idea that Morgan insisted might not end well, adding that being a professional golfer touring around the world, dating a royal might not fit into his schedule: “Poor old Tiger isn’t going to know what’s hit him,” Morgan added.
The book also claims her affections moved on to Costner, suggesting she “plagued” the Robin Hood actor with “raunchy phone calls” in the years following her official royal divorce in 1996.
After marrying a British prince, Lownie writes that she fancied herself an American one too, being interested in John F Kennedy Jnr, the son of the late president.

Lownie writes: “On a trip to New York, Fergie asked her staff to find out if John F Kennedy Jnr … was in town and, discovering where he was, she invited him for drinks or dinner at her hotel, which he accepted.”
While that specific dinner never came to fruition, her feelings for “America’s Prince” seem to have stuck around. After finding out that her sister-in-law, Princess Diana, had met with JFK Jnr for a business meeting in a New York Hotel in 1995, creating some tension between the two.
The late president’s son only met with the Princess of Wales for half an hour, but that was still enough to cause a rift.
In the book, Lownie writes: “The Duchess was not to be discouraged, especially after learning that Princess Diana had met Kennedy for 30 minutes at Christmas 1995 at a New York hotel. She was furious: ‘He’s mine! Why can’t she just leave him alone?'”
