I recently replaced all 14 of my L.A.B. DF3 putters in my bag with 7 woods and I am now a +12 handicap.

7 wood is easily the best club of all time. Mac is the sling master

Gotta love the hard cuts not showing how shots actually finished.

I feel like a 7 wood hipster.
I was playing the Super Concord when it came out in the early 2000s. It was my driver because I could hit it straight 180-190 carry. Contrasted with my actual driver that decided which way it wanted to go and had a carry range of 10-220. Avg carry was 50.
I quickly learned how effective my new “driver” was at chipping too. Lots of control like a putter but gave enough loft to make bump and runs incredibly consistent with distance.
I realize now that the reason the club was successful was because it lied pretty flat. I didnt know it at the time but with other clubs I was heel down pretty good. The Super forced me to have a proper lie angle which forced me to have better posture.
Edit: I still have it actually. Maybe its time to reshaft and bring it back in the bag

You reached a 510y par 5 in 2 shots with a 7w? How far do you hit that thing off the tee? 270?

Give the guy his credit. This is Mac Boucher, at least give him a shoutout for this instead of stealing his content straight up

Pro at my normal course once told me PGA players could play the course with only a 5 iron and break par. I didn’t believe him. Now I do.

I feel like i need to do this with hybrids to get more comfortable hitting them. So many times i have the yardage to reach home with a hybrid and just hit it slightly thin or fat, so ill take a 5iron and layup instead. Other times i do hit the hybrid pure and i do get home, then 3 putt for a par anyway.

This video is an excellent showcase of just how good semi pro and professional golfers actually are. It also pisses me off that i would dont know if I could break a 100 doing this.

This is probably the most conservative and less slings I’ve ever seen Mac Boucher play golf surprisingly.
Check him out on Instagram or YouTube. He is pretty fun to watch as he does crazy shots and plays differently than most.

That chip on the 6th hole was a thing of beauty

That approach shot on the 6th hole banking off the ridge was a thing of beauty. I really suck at golf
My father recently bought me a 7 wood and I friggin love it! Me and my brother in law call it the “grandpa club” I may have to try this.
Hi-Im-High
Buddy bet me $20 I couldn’t beat him on a hole if I only used 1 club. Chose my trusty 5h / rescue and birdied it with a chip in just off the green. Not that I’m anywhere near as good as Mac but just saying, it’s fun to challenge yourself like that.

Why use many club when one club do trick

Mac Boucher proving to the haters that he CAN in fact hit straight shots..

I love playing on the track man at work with just a single club or two. Fun and creative way to play. Especially in a sim where you don’t have to worry about lies and losing balls if you do shank one trying to a 5 wood 135 yards
The_Nutz16
We used to play as many holes as we could with a different single club at the end of the day when we were young. 8i was my favorite.

That chip into the hill side and an up and down par save was insane.

Further proof that social media golf is BS, this dude shoots 83 in tournaments but goes under par using a wood. Sure.

His chipping with that 7W is nasty

Helps when you have a butter smooth swing like this guy

I watch shit like this and wonder how it’s even possible that I consider golf hard.
Then I go and practice and it’s just impossible.

Love my 7w

Was playing 18 with randoms one day. They quit after nine so i ask the guys in front of me if i could play with them on the back. They say yes but warned me that they were playing a “practice round” i tell them that’s fine. It was two friends that were playing match play, one friend was using his whole bag and the other only using a 7 wood. The guy with the 7 wood was winning 😂
