In a recent Instagram Q&A session, Spiranac revealed the reason she keeps her dating life private, pointing to past experiences that she says took a serious toll on her well-being.
“I was previously married. I got married young, and when it didn’t work out, I decided that I was never, ever, ever, ever going to share my personal life online again,” Spiranac said. “The amount of horrible, harassing messages I still get about that relationship really made up my mind. I just never want to go through that again.”

Spiranac married former professional baseball player and fitness trainer Steven Tinoco in 2018. The two had kept their relationship relatively private, but in early 2022, she confirmed they had divorced. She never disclosed the details of their split.
According to Spiranac, the backlash she endured after her marriage ended was relentless. Even years later, strangers still send her negative comments about the relationship.
“For my mental well-being and my sanity, I decided I would never publicly talk about my relationships, friends, or family ever again,” she said. “I am so vulnerable online, I share so much about myself, and I’m very open and honest. But I want to keep a little part of my life just for me.”
Her decision, she added, has nothing to do with keeping male followers or avoiding relationship rumors. It’s about protecting herself from a situation she says was deeply damaging.

“If you never put anything online, then you never owe anyone an explanation,” she explained. “It’s not about my audience or losing followers, it’s about protecting my sanity.”
The former pro golfer-turned-social media star is no stranger to intense online scrutiny. With over four million Instagram followers, she’s built a large platform that blends golf instruction, sports commentary and personal insights.
