As part of the PGA’s FedEx Cup, Netflix is mounting a pop-up location of ‘Scottie’s Chicken Shack’ in a nod to World No 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler, who makes a major cameo in Happy Gilmore 2.
The sequel to the 1990s cult favorite movie hit the streaming service late last month, with Scheffler’s appearance poking fun at his real-life detainment during the 2024 PGA Championship.
Scheffler gets arrested in the movie and is approached by an officer in his holding cell who says, ‘It’s been three days – sure you don’t want to make that call?’
‘Depends. What’s for dinner?’ Scheffler responds in the film, with the policeman saying it is chicken fingers.
‘I’ll stick around another night’ Scheffler jabs back.
The chicken stand at the Memphis course will serve the infamous regular chicken fingers, Memphis honey gold chicken fingers, and zesty lemon pepper wet fingers.

There is also a part of the restaurant with a photo from Scheffler’s real-life arrest that fans can take photos with.
Scheffler will play in the FedEx Cup as one of the favorites, as he enters every tournament these days.
Yet, is the nod to one of the most famous golf movie franchises that sets this weekend’s event apart, with Scheffler reflecting on his time rubbing elbows with Adam Sandler.
‘It’s one of the things I told them after we got done filming the movie was like, “You’re doing a great job, I think the movie is going to turn out great,”‘ Scheffler said Wednesday. ‘But most importantly, everybody on the movie set was tremendous. Everybody was relaxed. They worked hard but they had fun while they were doing it.’
Other golfers in the movie include Bryson DeChambeau, Jack Nicklaus, Rory McIlroy, and Brooks Koepka.
