Kai Trump promised fans that her next YouTube vlog will be “funny” after she announced that her wisdom teeth have been removed.
The 18-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump informed her collective six million social media followers of the procedure, with a short video. “Got the wisdom teeth out. This vlog is going to be so funny,” she captioned the video on TikTok.
Trump has recently returned from a lavish trip to the Hamptons with her mom, Vanessa, but her golfing career will be paused while she recovers from the surgery. Trump recently celebrated her greatest golf achievement at the Srixon Medalist Tour and has committed to the University of Miami, with her grandfather making his feelings clear on her choice of college.

While the wisdom teeth procedure requires a short recovery period, Trump has also visited the eye doctor after admitting to putting struggles. In a vlog on Aug. 2, Trump announced: “I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow because I have not been able to see out of my contacts.
“Honestly, I haven’t been putting well recently, and I stopped putting well when my eyesight got really bad. So, I’m hoping, maybe if I get some better contacts for myself, I can start reading it better.”
Later in the video, she revealed that her eyesight was worse than she had feared. “My prescription has gotten so much worse. I was shocked,” she said.

The 18-year-old is already seen as a golfing success due to the popularity of her social media channels. Trump currently has 3.2 million followers on TikTok, 1.7 million Instagram followers, and 1.18 million subscribers on her YouTube channel.
Still, Trump announced that she had committed to Miami in 2026 as she pursues a professional golf career. “I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Miami,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
“I would like to thank my mom, Vanessa, and my dad, Don, for always supporting me through my journey. I would also like to thank my great team for getting me to this point. I would like to thank my Grandpa (Donald Trump) for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support.

“I would also like to thank my Mormor for always believing in me. I would also like to thank my entire family for always encouraging and pushing me to be the best person I can possibly be. I would like to thank my friends for always cheering me on.
“Last but not least I would love to thank Coach Janice and Coach Jim for giving me this opportunity. I am supper excited to be a cane and represent the University of Miami. Gooo Canes!”
While Miami has several high-profile athletes, Kai may be the most famous student on campus due to her affiliation with President Trump. Ahead of her arrival, a student reporter for The Miami Hurricane has asked fellow students to respect her privacy and leave her alone.

“Students should welcome her to the ‘Canes community with open arms, but should also respect her privacy,” student reporter Lazaro Chavez wrote in an article. “Doing things like letting her sit with you at lunch or walking with her to class can make her feel right at home.
“The University of Miami is no stranger to high-profile students, and the school prides itself on being a welcoming and inclusive campus. Let’s rise to that standard by giving Kai Trump the chance to be a member of the Hurricane family, free from the burdens of unwanted attention.
“We should respect her privacy both on and off campus, as well as supporting the university’s efforts to ensure her safety in light of the alarming breach at Mar-a-Lago. If we truly believe in community and respect, let’s show it. Let’s leave Kai Trump alone.”
