Spurs captain Heung-Min Son to leave club this summer

Tottenham captain Heung-Min Son has announced he will be leaving the club this summer.

The forward announced his decision in a press conference ahead of Spurs’ pre-season friendly against Newcastle in the player’s native South Korea on Sunday – which could be his final game for the club.

Spurs head coach Thomas Frank has confirmed that Son will start and captain the team on Sunday.

    As a korean arsenal fan you have to respect the guy. Incredible baller, won the golden boot taking no penalties, world class winger, lethal finisher, nemesis of man city, im glad he didnt go trophyless even if it means spurs acc won something, and stayed loyal to his club. Class act all around

    I feel he should have left Spurs years ago and signed to a top tier club rather than end up in the US as a trophy player but spurs made a lot of money selling his merchandise to Korean fans who came there just coz he was in the club. It'll be interesting to see how much their merchandise sales drop once he leaves🤷😅
